I can understand some hate to Trump (yet, I think he is way better than Biden) but I really don´t remember so much hate to a president. Not social hate, I mean mainstream hate. Every single famous person, every single newspaper is against him. Obviously, the establishment feels threatened by Trump as president. Don´t know how or why and probably we will never know the reasons of this.
Keyword: establishment

100%. It took a grenade to what they had, now they are threatened, and that’s why he was voted into office.

My point is not that these cultures are superior, but the very fact that they are intolerant might prove to be their saving grace. Thomas Sowell said it best:

"Intolerance may not promote progress but it can promote survival. An intolerant Islamic world may outlast the Western world that seems ready to tolerate anything, including the undermining of its own fundamental values and threats to its continued existence."
As someone from non-Western Civilisation I can assure you that it's bullshit.
There are no values in the East, just fear.

This was always a nothing burger. I thought everyone knew the boyfriend fired on the cops from the beginning. They did execute a no-knock warrant and didn’t identify themselves as police and he opened fire thinking it was a home invasion/attempted break-in, the cops returned fire injuring him, killing her.

The cops shouldn’t be charged with anything here. It’s absolutely not their fault in the slightest that the state has retarded laws that allow for both no knock warrants and defend your castle. Seems obvious that something like this would eventually occur, and race and left vs right, and “bad police” play no part in that. Clearly policy changes are needed to avoid this sort of situation happening again though.

The idiots clamouring for these cops to be charged with murder are for imbeciles.

See above. This isn’t new info.
I haven't been following the story that much, but I don't recall ever hearing that the boyfriend fired the first shot. In fact, there is a lady on CNN right now insinuating that the boyfriend shooting is nothing but a fake story created by police just recently. So if what you're saying is true, these people have really stooped to new lows, but that doesn't surprise me.

What a bunch of losers. And people wonder why some folks don't want to pay more taxes to fund social programs.

The stupidity in them is strong!
If I was a leftist conspiracy theorist, which I could be, I would have thought the Antifa and BLM rioters were bought and paid for by Trump, because they're playing right into his hands.

CNN is retarded. Basically Fox News Left. Months ago I recall reading that the boyfriend fired first. I don’t remember what news it was now, may have been a local affiliate. There are some justified protests against police brutality, and wrongful killings, but this is absolutely not one of them. And the cops did absolutely nothing wrong. Would be a travesty if any of them were charged/convicted here.

neither party was charged and the family got a fat check, seems like the best of a terrible situation was made

I think it it’s a good point to make that most places have local papers, tv stations, etc

But let’s be real here. If CNN was an honest news outlet, or even half honest, they would discuss how the war on drugs killed Taylor, not the cops. Why don’t they ever talk about that? The real issues are never, ever discussed, just like how they never discuss the Fed with respect to supposed income inequality. We are being played.

And “they” isn’t just CNN, it’s pretty much every entity that sits as an “authority” on something.

why would they do that? She had nothing to do with drugs. The cops went to the wrong house, looking for the wrong person. That was complete negligence

The police killed Taylor, they are in fact an extension of the system and know that when they sign up. What led up to that was poor judgment, an antiquated law and bad decisions at the command level. The LMPD messed up, to the tune of $12 million dollars. And yes, the war on drugs did make all that possible.

If I was ever forced to put all my money on anything, I wish it was this. But unfortunately I don't want to trigger short term taxes on some taxable events so it will be a modest amount. Would you bet on the opposite?
I really wouldn't bet on anyone at this point yet. Too much time left for all kinds of shit to happen. Imo Trump really needs to find some new sources of support, if he wants to win. There are a lot of people who are not happy with Trump. His dealing of Covid a particular black mark that he hasn't thus far been able to properly adress. However as we've seen, Trump has a great ability to create enthusiasm that shows when it is time to vote.

What are Biden's odds by the way?

As far as new sources of support go I can see your moderate centrists (like myself) vote for Trump because dems are making the choice very easy

x1.8 so Biden is the nominal favourite (slightly)

They served a warrant for a drug charge. They knocked and said police, open up. Someone shot at them, they shot back. How is that poor judgement, other than the drug laws being silly?

It's literally impossible for police to do their job under these circumstances, so the only solution is to change the drug laws, not defund the police.
