But you act like it's the end of the world. Most likely, this is just Trump rhetoric. How is he even going to find the families and kill them? Think about it. And even if it was possible, that's still slightly better than randomly bombing villages with predator drones, like the current President has done.

The premise is that Trump is already a billionaire, so the thought is he couldn't be bought on the way to the office, or once in office. That's a little different than what you said.

Very true.

Yes, I guess I do. What's so offensive about it? I'm also certain you were a supporter of keeping the Syrian refugees out of Europe, so what made you change your mind?

I stopped reading at "listen to John McCain." Anybody who says that is a goddamn retard.

Thank you, and notice how nobody responded to your post. The answer to your question is that the wall is not racist.
So it does not bother you that he would murder families, because he wouldn't find them? You have no moral objections? Also, how hard is it really to track people down if you're the president?

And then you follow this up by saying that a wall, designed to keep out Mexicans, because they are supposed rapists and murderers (in Trump's own words), is not racist.

You've clearly gone completely mad. And so has half of your country.

Oh btw Andy, I was never a supporter of keeping Syrian refugees out. In fact I have actively helped two get asylum in Belgium as their appointed lawyer. And I'm glad that I have helped them.

The wall is meant to keep Mexicans and anyone else coming over the Mexican border from coming in illegally. As in, Central Americans given safe passage through Mexico to reach the US-Mexican border and then crossing illegally into the United States.

There is no discussion about a wall in the North on the US-Canada border because the problem is not out of control there.

A wall. I truly impossible concept to grasp, I know.

DISCLAIMER: And for the record before he^^ jumps to any conclusions, no, I don't think its a smart idea to build a wall.

Is Trump wanting to build a wall really such a big deal? I don't see the huge problem.

I am not well versed in US politics but it seems like there is an issue with illegal immigration, why is making it harder for people to enter the country illegally a racist action?

It doesn't seem all that different to Hungary/Macedonia having to put up fences to help stem the flow of migrants in recent months or the UK doing border checks when people arrive from France.

I'm genuinely not trying to stir an issue but I just don't see why so much is made of this and why it is considered racist.
Andy said it best, the silence to your post says it all, really.

I know what it is meant for. And I also know that is why Andy (and others) are saying it's not inherently racist. But it is. It is thinly veiled racism. Trump says it is so important to keep Mexicans out that, apart from all the physical obstructions they already face today, you need to build a wall. The reason this is so important is not economic migration, but this:

"The Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are, in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc"
"When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. "

This characterisation is not only unfair and incorrect. It is also racist. And I'd bet it's not even what Trump himself believes. This is him appealing to a large xenophobic sentiment. This is reaching out to the they took our jobs segment of your society. And before you say that the US do not have a problem with racism: you actually have to state your race/ethnicity on a hell of a lot of forms in the US. Do you think they ask about your race in Europe? Fuck, I didn't even know what my ethnicity was supposed to be until I went to the States.

So yeah, it is racist. And yeah, you guys do have a problem. But you go ahead and ignore that ugly truth.

But this isn't about free speech, or the issue of whether such things should be allowed. It's about how they are apparently effective in actually convincing people, in most other countries this wouldn't be the case, they'd backfire badly.

Part of it is free speech though. Commercials aimed at hurting a person or a company or commercial that intentionally misrepresent them are not always allowed in Europe, they often are in the States.

That being said, my point was indeed that they'd backfire in most European countries anyway. Here it would make the dude it's coming from look like an idiot.

They look like idiots here as well. But unfortunately guys like Trump and the Tea Party before him aren't looking to the best and brightest of the country for votes.

But that's Trump. Confusing what Trump says in an election campaign for border control policy is like confusing Josef Fritzl for child care.

Well yes. But the question was whether or not this idea of Trump was racist. I'm saying that it was. At the very least Trump uttered the idea because he wanted to appeal to racists. Something which becomes even more obvious when he refuses to condemn the KKK (now I hate it when journalists corner politicians and ask them to condemn this or that, but surely you can condemn the KKK).

The question was whether or not a wall was racist. I've crossed the border at Tijuana back in the 90s. Back then it was secured cement river barriers and barbed-wire fences. This isn't exactly something that was just invented for the 2016 election.

And a lot of people like Trump because he dares says things that they wish they could say themselves.

Is she transforming from woman to lizard now?

Hey, and speaking of building a wall, look where I am in my harassment class :weee:

This absurd nutjob film is trying to be legit and not a parody? :shifty:

Its so much easier to actually seriously critique them and go through scandals/corruptions/inconsistencies in tangible and logically academic way instead of this conspiracy scaremongering joke approach.

But then I read the guy making this earlier made a docu where the premise was:

But then a guy like Andy actually supports such nonsense... Maybe Cam too... so... :shifty:

This is incredible.

I love the Democrats = Pro-slavery part. So awesomely deranged when people bring that up as though it has anything at all to do with the modern Democratic party.

Interesting article here on how the Republicans and Democrats basically switched sides over the years on civil rights... such things were always progressive politics, and there are (or at least were) both progressive democrats and progressive conservatives, which people tend to forget in this modern era of partisanship and walking the party line.

The wall, and Trump himself, is racist. Not to mention absurd. Look at the context in which it was proposed. Fuck trump and anybody who agrees with the absolute dogshit that is coming out of his mouth. Its 2016 ffs. With that being said, I fully expect him to start pandering to minorities soon.

Big win for Senator Sanders tonight. The real democratic nominee battle starts after March 15th when Hillary no longer has any states to win that will definitely be voting republican in the presidential election. So far, Sanders has been winning or virtually tying in the states that historically vote democrat in the presidential election. The DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz need to get their heads out of their ass and wake up soon, because Sanders has a real grassroots movement going and only continues to gather support as he gets more exposure. Hillary has been a household name the past 25 or so years, shes not going to get anymore popular, and her national poll lead has already been cut to single digits by Sanders. Hes the best shot the Dem party has, and beats every GOP candidate head to head according to polls. Hillary loses to almost every GOP nominee.
