He has done several good movies, Matchstick Men, Adaption, Lord of war etc in his recent ones. Its just that he is inconsistent in his choices and acting, which isnt unusual (you can be inconsistent by going from great to average), the unusual part is its puzzling that can and have done good movies and good acting...but can hit such a LOOOOOW in the other spectrum by being in really crappy movies and being really crappy himself (Wicker man...OMG....Ghost Rider...holy shit...) Almost become a parody of himself. The hair in the movie Next, DOUBLE OMG, ITS ALIVE! ITS ALIVE! :lol:

But he can defenitely be an enjoyable and quirky actor, AND has done several good movies. So dont write him off completely for what has turned into. Ok write him off as he not likely to improve, but just continue on this shit streak, but dont write off his previous work, because they werent as bad as he is now.

He is very cool and funny in Lords of War.

And Dru, not really a fan, but I have just dont have short term memory, IMO you shouldnt only judge him on his latest stuff, it wasnt allways all horrid Wicker Man stuff, he has an Oscar after all, doesnt mean much, but shows he wasnt all bad.

Cage is an average actor IMO.His best movies,were his best movies because of the whole package that the movie caried,and not necessarily because of his acting alone.He isnt an actor who can carry a movie on his own,or make an average movie look great.I enjoy watching Cage movies,but that's hardly ever because of Cage himself.

But Cage was really good in that, IMO.

I think Cage is capable. But there's a sickness that affects a lot of decent actors once they get their showpiece. Look at De Niro and the series of crap movie comedies he did after earning his chops as a dramatic specialist.

Sometimes you just have to pay for your kid's braces I suppose.
