Just watched
Mank and the focus lies on Hollywood business shenanigans and their entanglement in politics rather than on the creative process of writing the script for
Citizen Kane if that was what you were interested in.
@Dostoevsky But a very enjoyable movie which gets better the longer it goes on. If you're like me and don't know much about Hollywood early years the movie will not jump on your throat, instead carefully deliver the narrative step by step so that by the end you know 25 jewish characters and their relation to each other. Still, presumably there are dozens of references you will not get. Technically it's should be right up the alley of Fincher enthusiasts with scene blocking and shit that gives this movie a typical Finsher feeling. It's well crafted and acted and zoomers will hate it because it's long and there are no trannies and faggots and superheroes. One malus point goes to the casting of Charles Dance as Hearst - you don't waste a brillant actor for five sentences in horrible fake american accent...bru.
