Yes, I watched Embrace of the Serpent recently. Really great movie about two separate explorers in the Amazon jungle in the beginning of the 20th century. Mainly about the difference between the materialistic west and the simple tribals. Really good.
I also pulled my shit together and watched Bresson's Diary of a Country Priest. Amazing. Very similar to (and a big influence on) Bergman's Winter Light.
And i rewatched Barry Lyndon (hence the avatar). Masterpiece!

Finally saw Wild Tales. Great flick 
And it had all the signs of a "newly discovered Latin American director" who gets lured into some bloated Hollywood billion-dollar production. And sure enough
