Any of these out in good quality you think?

I seen the older ones (compton, mad max, beast of no nation) and ofcourse Star wars thats already out. Wait you think it has chance to be nominated? :D
The Martian, Inside Out (definitely worth watching), Beasts of No Nation, Mad Max and Straight Outta Compton should all be available in Blu-ray quality. I think the rest is available in screener quality, but I'm not sure. I'm waiting to watch them in cinema or in Blu-ray quality.

I just finished Sicario and I was not a bit impressed.
Josh Brolin sucks and the main character in the movie barely appears up until the very end while she has been taking the entire shots, getting toyed wirth and being the most insignificant character in the entire movie. All the time I was thinking something interesting might happen and then when it all got clear it was just too lame.

Not what I wanted to read, movie night, we watching Burnt, suggested sicario after it.
It's not as bad as suggested.

Josh Brolin, though not a favourite actor of mine, plays the part well, he's playing a role where he's supposed to be smug, arrogant, unlikable. He does just this.

The film is trying to impart the confusion and surreal experience of the protagonist to the viewer. It's discombobulating, not what it seems, and a world she has trouble coming to grips with. The success of this is relative. It's not a great film, but it's also not a mediocre film. It's a good, solid film with flaws, but also with some very very good scenes.

2015 was a down year for films in my opinion. A lot of good films, but not too many great ones. It definitely didn't come close to matching 2014. Not with English language films, nor with foreign language films.

Of that gazillion films list, which would you say is must see PI? I gather you would say the top listed ones.
Top-listed ones works, although some are just films that suit me personally and probably wouldn't jump out for others... Any in the top 25 are certainly worth watching imo. But must-see... let's go with 10.

Liza The Fox-Fairy
The Assassin
The Forbidden Room
Ex Machina
Room
Crumbs
The Wolfpack
Embrace of the Serpent
The Revenant
Aferim

Those 10 would be the ones that stand out as must-see, either due to quality of film, or novelty, or even just one aspect of the film being so outstanding as to necessitate viewing (i.e. beautiful cinematography/compelling narrative/incredible acting/etc)

I'm thinking about watching Irrational Man tonight... Has anyone seen it? I really like Joaquin Phoenix and Parker Posey, and Woody Allen is a pretty good director, but the film gets pretty mixed reviews.

It's honestly too early for me to say. We don't get a lot of the really interesting titles in Denmark until January, February and even March, so I'll have to wait a few months before saying anything definitive. But right now I'm inclined to agree.

Was always going to be trash.
This is a retarded post that deserves a -rep. I don't know where you got that synopsis from, but your anti-feministic perspective is certainly bullshit. The movie is not about a woman excelling in a male-dominated profession, but about a person being in deep, deep water.
