It's nothing close to the LOTR trilogy, but it's decent enough for me. i don't set my standards high when I watch it though, and that's why I enjoy it.

Actually you can. Newer movies anyway. And there are always rips from the Criterion collection out there

I treat my movies like i do my music. Watching/listening in a shitty quality is an insult to whoever made them.

I knew i was gonna get that answer But sure, there are many artists out there who are openly in favor of piracy. In fact, i've seen many who allowed fans to download it for free in better quality than they would usually get from torrent websites.

Fact is streams are usually shit and kills the experience, mine at least. If there comes a time where you can't find nothing better around then i'll start buying my movies/music again. Until then...

Solarmovie is in my experience by far the best streaming site out there, been using it for one or two years now, but downloading still provides much better quality.
