What's been your favorite movie of this year folks? I haven't watched any of them yet but am so excited about Boyhood.
Great question, Hoori. I haven't seen Boyhood yet, but it's next. :D As for the rest, nothing has really stood out for me yet.
Grand Budapest Hotel probably.

Salt of the Earth was great as well, but mostly due to Salgados photographs and I'm not sure if the movie can take credit for that.
Locke, Grand Budapest Hotel, Intersteller, Gone Girl, NightCrawler and Fury. All mainstream choices apart from Locke.

Boyhood is the worst movie i have ever seen.

You watch mainstream movies? What does hipster Greg has to say about that?
Ida is supposed to be amazing.
That's a hipster movie right there. It's pretty good imo, but it's so ascetic that it's borderline prentetious. :D It's very well made, but difficult to really like.

Some great movies this year, a few already mentioned in Gone Girl, Nightcrawler, Grand Budapest Hotel, Fury.

Others I would include would be Guardians of the Galaxy and The Imitation Game.

I've yet to see Interstellar which I'm really looking forward to

Just watched Interstellar in Imax and I was really about to throw up towards the end of the movie. The movie is terrific. Would be amazing to see how people would judge it a few decades from now. In the final scenes I thought Anne Hathaway looked like Arsene Wenger :nervous: I was really dizzy though so that could be why :p

I'm gonna watch Boyhood tomorrow. I'm a fan of Linklater's and the story itself excites me a lot.

Grand Budapest Hotel probably.

Easy. It's Boyhood. Then Grand Budapest Hotel.

Yeah, I was struggling to find a better word. :p It's just trying to be as minimalistic and boiled down as possible that it almost ends up not showing anything at all. That's, of course, an exaggeration, but it's so hard to relate to. It's beautifully shot though.

And Gone Girl was great.
