I added a small part. Really important too lol.

Acting wise she was decent as she her role wasn't really demanding. She was there to represent the beauty and be classy and guess what, she did it. Visually she blew everything/everyone away.

Malèna - All I knew about this movie was is that there's Monica Bellucci in it and how she was beautiful (bar some stressful parts). And it's kinda hard to imagine it until you see it (or unless you're Fred, his imagination is beyond this world). She was really a perfection as a woman in this movie, or better said, she was the movie. It's a pity many women (in real life) pretend to be her, try to be classy and beautiful at the same time, but for them it doesn't work, they can't pull it off (I bet my ass many women changed their mentality after seeing this movie and in most of the cases it went downhill). They look like amateurs, cheap whores and everything but classy. The story itself is really shallow but nevertheless it's still an enjoyable and interesting movie. Movie itself is probably 6/10 for me, but Monica Bellucci is 10/10.
Sums it up quite nicely (I'm probably on 7/10). Now you have fap material for the next couple of weeks. :D

That is one amazing poster (and film).

I just can't wait anymore till it comes to theatres here, so started downloading a torrent of the screener... gonna watch now
Don't do it. Wait and watch it in the theater. It's a Scorsese film god damn it. :D I saw it yesterday by the way. It was good and extremely funny at times, but I can't help but feel that Scorsese should have used his time on something better. Thank god Silence is next.

You should also watch The Legend of 1900 (make sure to watch the long version). It's by the same director as Cinema Paradiso (and Malena) and basically deals with the same themes. It's an English film, and Tim Roth is the lead. Very underrated movie if you ask me.
lol I can't believe you mentioned that one. When I was seeing Paradiso Cinema at imdb that movie caught my eye and I marked it as the one to watch soon.
:D

But yeah, watch it. Better than Malena, worse than Cinema Paradiso. :)

Ohhhhh, it's THAT movie! I totally forgot its name!

I haven't seen it yet, I actually totally forgot about it tbh.
I see. I thought you might have watched it before Malena. :D Also, Monica Bellucci isn't the only beautiful thing in the movie. The cinematography is drop dead gorgeous. Watching the guys sitting on the cliff with the ocean view makes you want to move to Sicily asap.

Also, Dule90, did you make sure to watch the uncut version of Malèna? If not, then boy oh boy, you missed out. :D

I was just saying how she was the movie literally. Some nice views, no doubt about it, but that was like 4-5 minutes of the whole movie.

It was uncut. I had no idea when I downloaded, but it was. And I was happy :D

My post was not in opposition to your review. Sorry if it seemed that way. :) But you are right that the views don't take up a lot of the film :p, but the whole color palette makes the film so irresistibly beautiful.

    Wolf of Wall Street

I already know I'm gonna rewatch it a million times, and buy its Blu Ray when it comes out.
It's one of those movies which when you randomly catch on TV you fuckin stop switching channels and watch it through no matter at what point you caught it.

    10/10

if Leo doesn't win Oscar, then fuck the Academy!
