How come no one ever mentions the first movie of the Nolan Trilogy - Batman Begins. Comparisons are always made between the last two.

How did you find Batman Begins?
Because in Batman Begins Batman was the driver while the other two it's the villain that's the driver.

I just saw The Dark Knight Rises today , i loved it  .
The ending was touching althrough i kinda didn't like it that bruce became a poor man living a normal life with his girlfriend maybe creating a family ect . I liked him more as billionare . Also i didn't get how blake is supposed to be his succesor (nightwing/robbin) if he doesn't have Wayne's milions to help him :D

Althrough i still didn't understand it clearly if he lived or he died :D

Just finished watching 500 Days of Summer as per some of your recommendations. Didn't really like the whole movie and then came the last 15 minutes or so and I really liked. When autumn finally came it was pretty damn cool. :D

oddly enough that's my most hated scene :D (and I am also no fan of the movie)

Yeah the movie was a little too chick flick for me. I liked the symbolism of the last part though. I also saw Wuthering Heights and did not like either. I thought it was going to be this grand story and instead I felt like I was watching a soap opera for most of it.

DKR, great movie, really enjoyed and thought the ending ended up being pretty cool (and also deceiving :p)

Saw Heat for the first time a couple of weeks ago, Pacino and De Niro...say no more.

Perfect thread, why do you think Scarface is overrated? And what do you think of Pulp Fiction too?
It's overrated because I'm fed up of hearing how awesome it is from 16 year old boys who found out about cocaine from this movie. For most of these same teenagers, by just watching this movie, it automatically makes Al Pacino the best actor ever, even though they can't name you another movie by him.

I never watched Pulp Fiction. :shifty:

You take the movie opinions of 16 year old cokeheads seriously?

Al Pacino is a great actor and his acting in Scarface is some of his best work, though he's also great in the Godfathers, Heat, Devil's Advocate and many others.

no way, watch it asap. Fucking great movie. Reservoir Dogs too.

Aren't you 16 too? :p

I never said that Al Pacino wasn't a great actor, even if I'm more of a De Niro fan. I was merely implying that Scarface isn't all what it is hyped to be.

Did you watch Once Upon a Time in America? Raging Bull? Taxi Driver?
