P.S. now I want to see beefcake-sized-only- Hardy movies. :D Can you guys recommended any? Preferably where he is bald. :p

The Dark Knight Rises was very good, though I think The Joker made The Dark Knight have that little bit extra than the former.

And I LOVE him as a villain. He is so fucking hot!!!
I've seen it quite a few times, awesome movie. Lucky for you there was a movie matching the exact description you posted huh? :)

amazing performance by Hardy, but I felt that the movie lacked something. Perhaps the comparisons with A Clockwork Orange upped my expectations a bit too much :p

I have to agree with this.

It's brilliant for the first 40 or so minutes, but once you get used to the entire feel of the movie, there really wasn't much to keep me interested. Unlike Drive, for example.

I didn't think Drive was anything special. A good action movie, but the gory scenes felt misplaced and I was not satisfied with the ending, either.
You silly boy :disagree:

Drive was just a perfect throwback to the typical 80-ies action movies, only better. Colour palette, soundtrack, character traits, dialogue, etc. I don't think there was a single thing I disliked about that movie.
Thought the gory scenes were brilliant as well. Unexpected & great contrast to the very gentle relationship between the 2 leads.

Probably the best (as in my favourite) recent movie I have seen over the past 2-3 years.

I just saw The Dark Knight Rises and I was avoiding this thread since its première. I went through the pages one by one reading all the spoilers and discussion.

I thought the movie was brilliant, for a film to go for 2 hours and 45 minutes without feeling that time passed is just the work of a genius, not a single scene was unnecessary or boring or just get on with it. The Dark Knight had some of these scenes.

Bane was fantastic and even if his voice was tampered with he still had the tone that set the ambience of the scene whenever he talked, he imposed himself as an evil character from the very first scene (I still think that the opening scene of the The Dark Knight is superior to all) and that with most of his face covered.

Anyway, the movie was a great ending to a great trilogy. We'll see what happens in 15 years ;)

This. I've heard some people complain that there wast enough action, which I think is ridiculous. I thought it was a brilliant movie and it wrapped up the series quite nicely.
