The Prestige - I had very high expectations for this one, and I'm afraid they weren't met. Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie, just not that great. The final big revelations of both characters were too obvious for my liking. Not to sure about the acting either. David Bowie was painfully bad & I felt Bale was somewhat of a caricature.
Oh, and Scarlett Johansson is just

... one of the most annoying & worst actresses ever
spot fuckin' on...Prestige sucks ass

Avatar - Meh, enough to keep a child with down syndrome happy. Lots of pretty lights.

This review by the good doctor is spot on

Cameron has made a very pretty film with an extremely shallow plot. If you like pretty you will love Avatar, if you like a good plot then you will hate it. Immersive 3D does nothing for me, aside from:inter: IT IS NOT the future of tv and/or film.

Its not great, its just pretty!

Just found the short that 'District 9' is based on:

Think it fairly sick for such a small budget. I can see why jackson wanted blomkamp to make it into a feature.
