There are no funny comedies. The movie format is much too long to sustain humor, no writer in the world can pull it off.

Closest thing was Bee Movie.
Good comedy movies, IMO, are exceptionally difficult. They come around as often as some comets.

greatest comedy ever toss up between city lights and duck soup, no?
After 60 years of comedies, they are definitely up there. I'd go with the Soup. There were points where Peter Sellers did some genius things, but as a collective for an entire movie they couldn't quite add up.

A few hours ago I saw A Serious Man. One of the more existential Coen brothers movies I've ever seen. Good stuff.

after several attempts of convincing from my friends i went with them to watch 2012. ok i admit the visual effects in the movie were great, but the script and acting really really got on my nerves. a 5 out of 10 for me.
