The ITV one with Carlyse was too poetic and used a lot of artistic license, Downfall/Der Untergang used historic accounts and was focused on a few days rather than the whole regime. Its like comparing an in depth match report of injury time or watching the highlights on MOTD.
Yeah sure, the best film about hitler is one that focuses on the last few weeks of his life, and not the events that lead up to the whole reign of hitler and the reign itself....good luck with that

The first one wasnt a film, it was a tv documentary and i was trying to say, they are two different things.
So you're saying the best film about Hitler is the one that isn't a factually objective, real-world presentation?(Untergang)

Depends really on what you term a documentary, I mean not just becuase its on TV and broken into parts you know?

Downfall is as factually accurate as they could get it, its based on interviews, journals, recordings etc.etc. from the last few days. The ITV TV Film/dramatised documentary is loosely based on facts and used a lot of artistic licence, we had to study it when i was 15 at school as a test to see if we could spot the inaccuracies.

I just spent over an hour watching "Paranormal Activity" thinking that it was supposed to be real events (that's what the person who lent me the movie told me) becuase that would have been the only justification for how lame the movie is otherwise, only to google it and find that it's a scripted movie with actors. :sergio:
