Love me some Stone Roses as well. But it's relative where and who started it, really. The Smiths (In fact the whole British post-punk scene) influenced The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays who then influenced most early 90's acts and so on.

One of my favorites yet unknown act of that time was Levitation. If you don't know them...

Too much propaganda. I generally don't like war movies. They are totally unrealistic and incredibly hyperbolic.
