Sorry, Deneb, but Oasis' music is just too monotonous for me. Pulp is my clear favourite.

:agree: Even though i was never too big on Oasis, they were memorable records.
blur was good too, but the daddy of them all and the best band in the history of manchester is the stone roses :p

Love me some Stone Roses as well. But it's relative where and who started it, really. The Smiths (In fact the whole British post-punk scene) influenced The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays who then influenced most early 90's acts and so on.

One of my favorites yet unknown act of that time was Levitation. If you don't know them...
