Never heard about that one until now. Is it good?

This is the Leviathan i know :D

But seriously. Leviathan was a brilliant film. Arguably the best film of the year. It's almost as good as his (Andrei Zvyagintsev) 2003 film The Return, which is one of the best post-2000 films out there. His 2011 Elena as well. Nadezhda Markina puts in a masterful performance. His only miss so far was probably 2007's The Banishment, which was good, just not great like the others. The lead in it, Konstantin Lavronenko, was excellent, the film itself, not as much.

Still. I highly recommend a watching of all four of Zvyagintsev's films to everyone on this forum, as he is certainly one of the best current film makers out there.

I think Oasis was probably the best rock/pop band of the 90's. Maybe it is because I grew up with them, but the instrumentals and the lyrics are fantastic. Their demeanor might be another story though, but I don't care about that. Same with "gay" Coldplay.

I grew up with them too and always enjoyed their music. Lyrics were always their strong point. Brian Jonestown Massacre was my favourite band of the 90s though. Such a good sound.

liam gallagher epitomized rock & roll frontman in the 90s, no one came close.

Oasis is not even close to best band of the 90s

Alice in Chains
Metallica
Soundgarden
Nirvana
Megadeth
Tool
Smashing Pumpkins
Pantera
Pearl Jam
Rage Against The Machine
Faith No More
R.E.M.
Deftones
Guns n' Roses
Queens of the Stone Age
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Down
Stone Temple Pilots
The Offspring
Kyuss
Neurosis
Silverchair
Melvins
Foo Fighters
System of a Down
Helmet

etc...

90s UK rock sucked ass big time. actually it has sucked hard since the 80s too.

I really don't know how anyone can like those turd bands such as Oasis, Radiohead, Blur, U2 etc

There's some interesting bands/groups like Porcupine Tree, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Primal Scream, Depeche Mode, Stone Roses etc but it doesn't really stack up

I said rock/pop, not heavy metal. If you want to lump Oasis into that crowd as well, then they are definitely better than System of a Down, Silverchair, Offspring, STP, Deftones, REM, Rage, et cetera, and I actually enjoyed many of those bands. But to be honest, I was never a big fan of heavy metal as to me it sounds like nonsense.

Nirvana was good though.

Oasis creates music; Metallica produces yelling with a side of complaining about music piracy for a free lunch.

They are the most overrated band in the history of the world, and shame on them for bitching about piracy.

i dont think you get it, kurt cobain and the like had as much personality on and off stage as a watermelon, they were actually anti-rock, hence the grunge title. As for hetfield, it's funny that youd show a pic of him from the 80s.

Oasis rocked, your ignorance of their repertoire is not going to change that.
