Slightly off topic with this question, but is buying DVDs akin to buying vinyls nowadays? In terms of sheer satisfaction of owning a collection I mean?
I know people buy vinyl records because of the exclusivity of them, and the characteristic sounds they produce when played. But are the two pastimes relatable because they could be deemed as old fashioned?
I for one prefer having my DVD collection (which isn't overly impressive by any standards), as opposed to a hard-drive.

As a trilogy there are others better than the Godfather, because Godfather III sucks balls.

I'd say the original Star Wars trilogy, the LOTR trilogy.. hell, even the Toy Story trilogy is better.

But Godfather and Godfather II are the best original - sequel combo ever. But Godfather III really, really sucks in comparison.

Anne Hathaway in that catsuit left a part of me empty ;)

100% with Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

Juve Vinny 100% agree

All this talk and comparisons between a timeless masterpiece like the Godfather and teenage bull like that Batman shit and LOTR crap is driving a stake thru me heart. Let's put it this way - serious movies do NOT have the "honor" of being presented before all those 40 yo virgins at Comicon. :)

They're comparing trilogies bro?

LOTR lost my vote when Sam and Frodo went all Ace and Gary in the third and Peter Jackson decided he couldn't cut any of the 12 false endings.

Godfather trilogy is great until the last movie. Then it's only one great film, one good film, and poop.

Star Wars is probably more complete, more consistent. But let's be honest. It's not a trilogy.

Batman is good, but the writing in the last one was iffy and the first one is like Unbreakable, it's awesome but not everyone gets it.

The most complete trilogy of all time is most definitely the Sleepaway Camp trilogy from the late 1980s.

Whoa, that's one I haven't seen in over 20 years! Just started downloading it on pirate bay. Not sure if I've seen 2 & 3 tho, so I'm downloading those as well.
I wasn't at all serious about that being the best. But it is exactly what you expect. My college roommate had the box set and we watched them all the time.:D
