Yes and no.

I really loved the 400 Blows. It was in fact one of the reasons I decided to watch the Breathless. I was yet to watch a Godard movie back then so I had planned to watch one and then Truffaut co-writing the story was compelling enough for me to go for it. It let me down though :frown:

Among all of his movies, I have only watched four. I liked Where Is the Friend's Home?, Ten, and especially Wind Will Carry Us but I found Taste of Cherry, which is probably the most renowned movie of his, rather boring and pretentious. He's the most important feature of our cinema but I prefer Majidi and Farhadi's works to his. Have you watched "About Elly"?

watch jules and jim, as for kiarostami i cant find where's the friend's home with english subs, and i dont think i saw about elly, did you like nun va goldoon?

Yo Deneb, did you know they are making remake of Le Cercle Rouge?

Remakes of everything these days, but promising because its a great honkong director who does very stylistic and quirky norish crime flicks (huge fan of Mellville), extremely unique at his thing. Plus Liam Leeson in it. But either way, a frigging remake.

the original is just so perfect, it doesnt need a remake speaking of remakes did you catch 'bad lieutenant' yet?
No, I havent, I didnt even know there was a remake?? Looked it up, Nicholas Cage  No Keitel but he is fun :D

And regarding Le Cercle rouge, wont even compare for a second, but Johnny To is a ridicolously good crime/gangster director, so cant wait to see what he does (no one makes little homages to Mellvillle as much as he does).

Anyone seen Ninja Assassin yet? Is it totally kick-ass, or some Wanted-esque lameness fest?

Dont expect thespian acting, plot or good dialogue (prolly lots of cheesiness in all of that), but I think it will deliver in the kickass part, the ninja action looks real excellent, like they put alot of effort to it. One cant help but be fascinated by ninja's, so I'm looking forward to it. Raw B movie action isnt done too often these days (and this director, Mcteigue, can do action, dude from V for Vendetta), especially ninja kind (= advanced neat action), so should be entertaining. Trailer looks fun:

P.S Wanted suck balls, retarded director who thought one could build a movie around bullets bending, so passé.

The movie Wanted stole $10.25 from my wallet
This might be a bad advice for a teenager like yourself, but there's a 100% effective solution for that. It's called - MARIJUANA. You'll never regret paying for a movie ever again. Hell, I thought 2012 was amazing :D I know it's shit of course, but who cares...

    you butt fucker!
    It ain't true

Titanic was overrated at the time it was released (and also in the Oscars) but then people started to discredit it in the years after. It's pretty a good movie IMO, probably not good enough to win all those awards but I certainly won't call it "wrong".
I guess, but I feel it's way too long and the romance story is too sappy & melodramatic. As a result I felt the movie was somewhat boring, and this kind of movie / story should never be boring.

    :agree:

But we did learn the valuable lesson that a sports car is not faster than a small truck.
