Exit Through The Gift Shop

Oscar nominated documentary by street artist Banksy. Probably one of the better films I've seen this year. Really hard to explain, it's not so much an art film as it is an examination of society and sanity.

Another documentary: Champion. About Danny Trejo, armed robber turned actor. It was made a few years ago (so before there was talk of Machete). Intriguing guy, so it's an interesting watch.

True Grit

Way better than the original. I love when a period piece is written in the proper dialogue. The film uses strong cinematography, properly placed humor, and great storytelling to make a good film. Not going to be a Best Picture winner, but will be a favorite of mine for a long time. Jeff Bridges deserves a pat on the back, and the little girl that played Mattie Ross was fantastic.
