Y'all Euros are lucky. Artificial Eye is a great company, second only to Criterion as far as blu-ray restorations go. Kino Lorber sucks so bad. Their Tarkovsky releases are disgusting.

Probably the worst film review I've ever read. The Islamic State comparison The Guardian sometimes. The Revenant didn't blow me away and I know what she means by meaningless violence in film. But trying to equate and contextualize this film (which has been 15 years in the making) with current world affairs is ridiculous really.

I liked the movie overall. It's a classic story of revenge and survival which looks really good. It's no more or less complicated than that which is fine by me.
