For me the trailer to Mad Max looks awful but reviews are great.

Is there anyone that thought the trailer looked terrible but enjoyed the film?
Just saw it (didn't watch any trailers though), it's a very very entertaining movie. It's not very thought provoking of course, and the entire premise is too ludicrous for the movie to be taken seriously in any way, but there are some instances of very smart filmmaking imo, especially when it comes to (for action movies) subtle characterisation without dialogue, and presenting rather complex things going on with little to no exposition.

Oh, and the action scenes are fucking awesome.

Mad Max: Fury Road is just a perfectly executed action movie. When you're making an action-packed movie using fast cutting, framing the most important information in the middle of the screen seems obvious, but so many film gets it wrong. Compare this action scene from Mad Max: Fury Road to this scene from Quantum of Solace and notice what a huge difference there is. Quantom of Solace is a confusing clusterfuck in comparison.

Thought the scene with the sandstorm was pretty awesome, but most of the other scenes felt really plastic to me.
I thought it got a bit too much towards the end, though the movie did benefit a lot from having a quieter part in there after ~2/3 of the movie pacing-wise. Still, it was hard to maintain the same level of suspense, especially cause the film knocked it right out the park at the beginning.

Hmm no. Tbh haven't watched a Brazilian flick in a long time.
Then watch it and tell me about it! :D

Have you watched "Attack on Titan"?
I never really watch anime, but I've actually watched the first two or three episodes of it. Seemed good if you like the genre, but the hysterical voice-acting and sudden 180-degrees plot twists are just not my thing. :D

"Too timid to defend himself, Armin would often need to rely on his friends to protect him from local bullies. This, coupled with his frail physique, was a source of much shame for Armin, leading him to have poor self-esteem and believe himself to be a burden upon others."

 That's the initial description, he's changed now, but yeah :D I was watching it and thinking to myself who this reminds me of. The feeling I got from solving the puzzle was wonderful. But to be more precise, he mostly reminds me of you in mafia :D
