And if Di Caprio doesn't win an Oscar for this, he never will.
He deserves an oscar because there's not much competition so far (not sure if the list already submitted). I've always been baffled by people questioning the decision not to award Di Caprio an oscar in his previous nominations. He clearly didn't deserve it in any of them.

Bullshit. He definitely deserved one for Calvin Candie.

To be honest, after looking up the winner that year for supporting actor, Christoph Waltz for the same movie, I'd say he probably had a case. Christoph Waltz was one overrated SOB that year.

His Inglorious Bastards role was magnificent and he truly deserved an oscar for it, but that was it.

Think before you post goddamnit :D
I can't remember the list of every oscar winner in each category, especially when it's for supporting actor. I just know the winners of best actor in recent years, those who were nominated along with Di Caprio. He never deserved an oscar in each of these versions. No doubt.

I dunno, I'd give it to his Jordan Belfort over whatever the fuck Matthew McConaughhey was doing that year.

That was one of the clearest oscar wins in years. Matthew McConaughey truly deserved that oscar without any shadow of a doubt. This is coming from someone who passionately didn't believe in his acting talent before. In fact, Chiwetel Ejiofor in 12 years a slave deserved it even more than Di Caprio.

You'd probably have a better chance in Di Caprio's 2005, 2007 nominations, but still. This year, though, he should be a clear winner. He put on a great performance and there's not much competition around.

I liked The Revenant. It is a brilliant story of revenge told in the most flawless way possible. Is it going to stay with me for a long time? No. Will I watch it again? No.

And if Di Caprio doesn't win an Oscar for this, he never will.

Give it another chance. Haven't seen it myself but have heard a lot of good things about it from people who have a great taste in movies.
I have seen about half the movie, great cinematography, but just couldn't pass my bs detector :p I'm also aware this could be just my personal bias
