Especially the defence
Yeah especially defense. We lost a generational defender and the captain of the team due to injury.
We started looking shaky at the back and conceded so many chances from open play.
But Sarri turned the table and manged to make us solid at the back onve again . Even though our defense play way higher up the pitch and that makes everything much harder for our defenders.

Yeah I find it funny how most anti Sarri folk just brush over the fact that we've lost the heart of Juventus defence for the entirety of his term thus far. It's really ironic when u take into account that the loss of Chiellini was one of the main excuses for our CL exit to Ajax kids last season...

From vecchiasignora:

What match do you expect against Roma?

"It is enough to see the results of Roma away to understand what awaits us. Roma made more points away than at home. Roma for characteristics can make the game difficult"

What Juventus will be against Roma? Can the trident be repeated with Douglas?

"On the field, the important thing is to be in order. The players can change but we must remain a balanced team. Let's see the conditions of the team. We did just a bit of tactics today. I still haven't decided anything, not even the form"

How are Alex Sandro and Cuadrado doing?

"Cuadrado recovered from the fever, we preferred to keep him in the gym. Alex Sandro has a problem with the transverse muscle"

Why did De Ligt change his position?

"We started when Demiral was on the pitch, Bonucci got on well and we also continued with De Ligt"

Are you already thinking about the next game?

"You can make assessments for individual players, but the unpredictability of the games cannot lead you to make considerations about 5-6 players"

Will there be turnover for Ronaldo? Are you worried that it is going well now and not in the Champions League months?

"I hope there will never be an end to good. I want to think that my team always has room for improvement. We will evaluate his presence tomorrow morning, he can play three games in a week. I don't see it as a problem. You have to see his conditions In the last game he had some fever lines, at the moment I think he can play, I'll see if he has fully recovered tomorrow morning "

Is there anything that would change in the choices against Roma?

"Roma are a strong team and put everyone in pain, even Barcelona. Roma have better numbers away, it will be a difficult game"

What changes with the presence of Kalinic?

"Dzeko is a difficult player to replace. Kalinic in terms of movements is a dangerous player. He is a complete player even if he has had some difficulties in the last period"

Does anyone need to rest in midfield?

"Rabiot came out with a few serious shots. He is better today, the feeling is that he is a player who has important physical qualities. He is growing in condition and is able to recover well between one game and another."

Danilo is growing, how important is it?

"He is a reliable player, he hardly misses the game. On a defensive level he has the same type of performance on the right and left. He is an important figure in the locker room"

How did Higuain see it?

"I also saw him well in training, he is an important player. For balance reasons we make him play together with the other two sometimes without. He is having a very good season. Now he is less frequent in the penalty area, but he plays more with the team. He is a player with uncommon qualities "

The situations of Emre Can and Bernardeschi with the market….

I am not aware of it and I do not care, if the company does not say otherwise they are part of the squad and are taken into consideration. At the moment there are no other situations, if they are available they are available.

Where is Douglas Costa at?

It is not at its best but fortunately it is fine. He is a player at muscle risk so we preferred to avoid certain loads, by choice we decided to safeguard him from any injuries. He is finding continuity in training but he is still not in top condition.

What if Sarri was to win the CL trophy but loose the serie A title, what then? Would some here place Sarri over Allegri? :shifty:
on that alone? no i would not. i know many of Tuz special posters just became enraged but 1 season, even with a CL victory, would not outweigh five straight successful years.

I would however admit to being wrong and apologize to smokey mcgee for underrating him

So much improved, just like our attack.

Wait.

both isn't true
And yet we have 51 points after 20 games. That’s an average of 2.55 points per game.

When was the last time we made a start this good?

We also topped our UCL group with 16/18 points.

Let’s be honest here, if Allegri was still our manager and he got these exact results, everyone would be praising him for turning the corner.

What's the deal bringing up these kind of scenarios?
They will be both remembered as a legend. No need to pick one over another.
I can’t see Sarri being a legend here I believe it’s too soon for that kind of talk. I only asked the question based on the crazy talk of Sarri being mentioned in the same sentence with Allegri already. When Sarri has only put a half a season in and we finally broke away a bit from Inter on the table some members here are puttin him on a tier with Allegri.

We had 56 pts at this stage last season, muppet. And also topped our CL group...

So to answer your question of “when?” Just last season.

Everyone praising? You, amongst others, were bashing Max just last year, at this time of year, when we had more points, more goals, and less conceded. So maybe pipe down a little.

Sarri’s doing just swell, thus far. Aside from supercoppa loss he’s met expectations, and shall have another chance in a few weeks to take the next step in CL Rof16. Things looking good.

Everyone here is happy with the results, but not necessarily the style of play. This was exactly how people felt under Allegri’s later seasons.

The attack is obviously improved, it can be seen in the amount of goals we scored.

Though I am mostly impressed on the ability to bring the games to sleep, that improvement there is second to none. I find it better than the defensive improvement.

Yep we topped the group by losing two matches, home vs Man United and away to freaking Young Boys.
However you always compare to last year, if you want to compare Allegri vs Sarri then you have to refer to first season of Allegri.

Then I expect at least CL final this season...
