Yeah it was certainly worth it. That final "domestic double" and "losing to the winner"-scudetto really means something now, instead of having used all those resources we had at that time, to stop the bleeding and change direction in time. We waited a few years while it was only going worse and we went for a cheap Sarri replacement.
