Ad hominem, some if not many of us have seen Allegri's weaknesses years ago, also remember the reason why he was sacked and why the club tried Sarri at that time, because our football was already deemed dinosaur jihadball at that time, now fast forward 2 additional seasons with Allegri, absolutely nothing has changed. Also some of us saw this from light-years away, some of us never want Allegri to come back because we knew what would happen.
Upset? More like some of us are laughing in frustration because apparently we know better than whoever run this club in the last 5 years

This is car crash, and sadly this was not an isolated snapshot of play, this was us in possession throughout (that and misplacing forward passes)
What I don’t understand is the lack of off the ball movement or passing urgency. Finding space is something footballers learn at 6 years old, our players are just static, fixed to a role. What is Allegri telling these players to do??

Reasons why me and many others wanted Allegri back last summer :
- ability to adapt formations and tactics based on the players available
- supposedly less stubbornness and more flexibility to our game plans based on the opponents as well
- a better defensive organization
- capable enough to keep us relevant and competitive both in Europe and in Italy even while we are rebuilding
- no repetitive excuses about certain players being injured and not having other options.
- no complaining and excuses about the fixtures list, pitch or weather on game day
- capability of making good use of even some of the most mediocre players in the squad.
- no nonsense approach or style where winning is the only thing that matters.
- seen as an almost guarantee for us to winning the Scudetto again based on his previous experience here, or at the very least seen as someone capable of creating a proper foundation to fight for it till the last minute regardless of the squad available to him throughout the season.
Fast forward to nowadays and it’s safe to say he has failed at most of those key points mentioned above, but even so, unlike anyone else in his position, he is getting another chance with this second season and that is also probably because of the board also being fully aware how poor our transfers and squad building strategy has been to begin with, which would have put any reasonable coach in a similarly sensible situation, however what is most annoying at this stage aside from all the reccuring injuries is also the stubbornness, experiments and lack of clear ideas that keeps sending us on a downward spiral instead of showing any signs of improvement.

Sorry but those were the quality of pre Cardiff Allegri, he has not been the same since then, especially starting to really shown his change for the worse when we got Ronaldo that ultimately lead to his sacking and this club downward momentum.
Allegri definitely has not or possibly couldn't return to the pre Cardiff of a coach that he was. And honestly? With hindsight he and this club should've parted ways after Cardiff and never return, the exception would be if Allegri managed to coach other teams first so that we can assess his state after that final.

Don’t think there were that many better options available regardless, he was still the best and most safest option for us after the Pirlo season where we almost missed out on Top 4 if not for Verona’s masterclass to choke Napoli on the last matchday….
Anyway, to be fair to him we do have quite a plethora of world class players that moved on in the last few years and finished a very successful cycle here and they have been replaced with mainly ‘potential’ and rather more mediocrity on top of the already large number of basic and mediocre players we have that don’t bring anything special and can’t decide any games by themselves, while most of the ones that are class and can actually help us out of this shit are pilling up the bills at JMedical…
But even so, we can and should still be able to do much better.

It’s not just the fact our current midfield players aren’t that great but it seems Allegri has absolutely no clue what to do with it. None. It’s unacceptable how they can’t even position themselves right and that’s on the coach and his failed instructions.

Also ultimately Allegri is an unstable coach, just read the first few if not first few dozen pages of this thread.... We did not want him, we laughed at him at first, why? Because he melted down after just 1 successful season at Milan... Many here used to joke at him when we were under conte, and obviously many panicked when we were about to sign him, as much as if not more than we were about to sign Sarri later.
So this episode of Allegri actually has happened before, at another club... One could say that he lucked out with us at first by inheriting conte and marotta's team at Juve... Now that both foundations are truly gone from this club so to speak, Allegri is woefully incapable of repeating his success, and he's instead repeating his meme days at Milan.

Although you could argue that, even when everyone is fit (that'll be the day!), our squad still isn't better than the one we had last season.
I mean, we "fixed" our most glaring issue, the midfield, with the definition of an inconsistent & unreliable player. Honestly, who's the brains behind this operation these past few years?

Haha so recognizable, but you need to understand there is no worse feeling for a football fan than the conviction that the coach, the man at the helm is a stubborn idiot. Then it becomes clear that no lineup, no transfer, no money, no recovery from injury will change anything in the season anymore. This stage is total resignation. You already know that the man is not improving and how it will end.
Then comes the countdown until the team starts playing against the coach. Then another countdown before the owners notice it, send out the first signals of hope for change. Then waiting for the ultras to speed up their decisions. Brief moments of relief when names of possible successors emerge. Finally blaspheming the coach through all possible channels, humiliating your own dignity by enjoying the media lynching him - all in the hope that he will resign himself, even though they never do...
It usually takes a whole season. We are only at the first stage.

Nothing changed, nothing improved. Shit got worse and worse. Games were played without a single shot in the game.
Last year I cut my payperview contract. I coudn't handle it anymore. Didn't do that even with Pirlo!
I wasn't happy when Allegri came back because I still remember well why we wanted him off the first time.
But I was hopeful... well at least we'll have a shot at winning that with Pirlo we won't have. WRONG. At least with Pirlo we saw the light ahead few times.
At least Pirlo was on 2.5m/year and not on 9.5m for 3more years.
Now hope is all gone.
Another crap season where we have to pray to qualify for CL spot gonna be our trend in the months ahead.
I sincerly hope that by the end of the season he'll at least have the grace to resign without grabbing as much money as possible.
And Andrea Agnelli. I usually defended him. But this choice is totally on him. At the end of the season he should go. Management deteriorated too much over the years.
