Good article by Goal.com comparing last season and this season. Basically, everything is still as bad as last season.

That's exactly the point. People who 'hated' Ciro's results and job think that Del Neri is doing fine and how injuries are the thing that keep backing us.

Everything changes, nothing changes is a prefect title for us.

The bottom line is that we made no progress whatsoever and that Del Neri is a coach who should leave ASAP.

The season doesn't finish at the end of February.

Last season we lost 15 fucking games. We have lost 7 with 12 games left. I'll compare points tallies when it counts, not when it suits.

IIRC, last year we had (much) more injuries than this year. We set some kind of record with last year's injures. Diego with 33, Chiellini with 32 and Amauri with 30 serie A appearances were the only players last year who didn't miss at least 10 serie A matches. That's important when one makes a comparison between last season and this season.

Another important fact are the episodes in Europe. Last year we played in a much bigger, better and certainly more important tournament. We played in CL where there were no calculations and where players were giving 100%. That still wasn't enough and with only 8 pts won we were eliminated, but the energy wasted in CL surely had its influence in our serie A performances until December. This year we calculated in EL, which was obvious. We surely weren't good, but we also didn't give our best, not the players and not the coach who often rotated the squad, preserving energy for serie A. We didn't qualify and we were eliminated after the 5th round in November. We surely had advantage in serie A this year compared to last year when we also played important and very tough CL matches.
Also, this time last year we were in EL and we already eliminated Ajax, having Fulham to face later on. This year we didn't have EL matches in February and we won't have them in March. We can fully concentrate on serie A.
Yet, the results are the same as last year.

We lost 6 of 12 games left last year, not 7, but that's not too important.
What you're saying could very easily be a wrong way of looking at things. We lost all chances for 4th place some 4 or 5 rounds before the end and we collapsed. If the 4th place rivals do bad and due to that we still stand some chances for 4th place later in the season, we won't give up like last year because we'll have something to play for, and in that case we will win more pts than last year, but that surely won't mean that we are better than last year.

So far we can't predict what's gonna happen later in the season and we can make comparisons with what's happening right now with what was happening after 26 rounds last year. It's the same shit, just like it's the case for almost the entire season. After round 12-13 people make these same comparisons and there is no difference.

it's amazing how much better this team would be if we had a proper left back, and a left wing krasic.

that's my maiin beef. we need another wide player to balance the team and a left back so killing me goes back to cb.

really we should be doing all we can to sign a classy creative left winger.

The "Marotta Revolution" should be he and DUMB Neri getting thrown out on their asses at the end of this season by Moggi and new coach Gasperini :ultra:

What's so special about Gasperini?
he's a very good coach who plays attacking football

Genoa left him hanging to dry this season when management signed their new players, which Gasperini was never consulted on or asked for....and we all saw how that went

besides, he's a former Juventino !!!!

who do you guys want in here as our next coach, and be realistic !!! Were not going to get Capello or Jose !!! ;)

deschamps? the same guy who was barely winning teams 1-0 in serie b?

LMAO
I won't count the serie B episode. Not count it for the coach, nor the players. The only important thing was to qualify for serie A. World stars who just won the World Cup, or played the WC final, and guys like Nedved simply couldn't be motivated to play in serie B and those pitches. What can the coach possibly tell them to motivate them away to Albinoleffe?

Those serie B coaches obviously weren't better than Deschamps nor did they outplay him and outsmart him. The reason why from time to time we didn't win in serie B or win by 1 goal difference is of different nature. It's not the coach.
