Marotta's revolution, with or against it?? (4 Viewers)

Are you with or against a revolution Marotta style?

  • Yes, I want to change half the team and make a revolution in transfter market

  • Buy 2-3 world class players (Best scenario according to Moggi, Trezeguet etc)

We do need to get rid of those mentioned though v1rtu4l
the problems with all these calculations is, that you guys think we will actually get money for the players we let go. if we let go iaquinta, amauri and sissoko we would get a maximum of 10m € and that already is very wishful thinking. noone wants our crappy failed players. so throwing them out will only enlighten our wage budget, but not give us more transfer fee to spend.

a worldclass player costs at least 20m € up to 50€ depending on position. since these players demand the club to play champions league we can forget about any player that is already a proven worldstar anyway.

i don't know what our funds are for transfers, but i would already be satisfied with cassani, as he is not considered worldclass, but the best right back i see us getting. van der wiel would be an option, but since any link with him has probably this forum as source i guess marotta does not even know that player.

it's really ridiculous how someone here in the forums writes "i want players xy" and one week later you see an article on goal.com or similar saying "rumours say that juve will get xy". the real existing links to players are not clear anymore, because the writers of those articles are obviously getting their information from here.

the primavera-fill-up theory is a nice one, but it's not happening under del neri ...even ranieri did give youth more chances than him

You're right about the money though I think we can get more out of Amauri Sissoko and Iaquinta.

Players like Cassani would be good additions, Santon is still young and can prove to be good but shouldn't be our starter. The problem Juve has is that they DO have the money to spend they just don't spend it well most of the time, 20+ mil for Amauri and Melo is ridicuolous as is 12 mil for Martinez.

The first thing they need to do is find a better coach who can get the right players to take us to a minimum of 4th place, from then on we can start building the team. Before that happens I can't see any revolutions happening in this team.

first position we need to cover is lb. we have martinez, toni, del piero, quag, iq, amauri and matri on that position. So we need to clean up, keep matri, quag, del piero and bring benz/neymar/lukaku or another good young goal scorer.

its a bad circle ... bad players dont bring you CL and without that you wont get substationally better players.

cassani would cost something between 15 and 25 m € (considering he is a defender he is cheaper, but since we are direct rivals to palermo they wont gift us anything).

amauri and iaquinta will both give us 5m € at maximum, because they dont play and are always injured. sissoko i see going for arount 5 to 8 m € so thats it.

i think we should think about selling those players we do not need to get a replacement for, because we already got a replacement and sissoko is the only one i can think of right now. for the other positions we do not have quality backups. cassani would be the most needed in my opinion, because we need someone to do the defending for krasic ... on the left pepe or marchisio should give enough cover in defense for our glass-bone-boy when he recovers. if we get a decent leftback i am all for it, but i do not see any good left back out there at all .. don't come with names like elia or bastos how have less knowledge of defending then a dog of speaking chinese

you might actually be right, but even if the leftback position is more important than the right back, it's of no use focussing on this, while there are no adequate players available. if you focussed primarily on the left back we would end up like the last transfer market, where "we" focussed on "i don't know what" and tried to force some-dzeko bullshit ending up using too much time for that and forgetting about the rest and so we had to do the other business in the last days and only got shit.

Gee, that sounds like a familiar number, doesn't it?

Oh wait, that's very close to the obligations we'd have to pay from signings this season should we sign everyone but Motta...

But you're right, too rich for our blood!
Your fabled €85m figure is for potential spending over 2 seasons, half of which has already been spent, is it not?

And those big name players play for modest wages, of course.

Why do you keep acting like installment plans are something brand new to football?

I've made clear where the numbers come from. You just apparently think that if you have installment plans you have cheaper transfer payments. Whether we pay now or pay later, it's the same freakin' amount we have to spend.

But yes. We can't afford 80M Euros worth of players (not stipulating installments), but we can afford 85M Euros worth of players as long as we have installment plans and loan fees. OK.

Do you guys know that 39 different players played for Juve this year in the official serie A, EL and Coppa matches? That's almost 40 different players. Almost two full squads.
7( or 8 if we count Sorensen) are from primavera, but the other 32(31) players were senior players.

As things stand right now we have 26 senior players (counting Sorensen too) in the squad

GK: Buffon, Storari, Manninger
DR: Motta, Sorensen, Salihamidzic, Grygera
DL: Grosso, De Ceglie, Traore
DC: Barzagli, Chiellini, Bonucci, Rinaudo
MC: Aquilani, Melo, Sissoko, Marchisio
MR: Krasic, Pepe
ML: Martinez
SC: Quagliarella, Iaquinta, Toni, Matri, Del Piero

Amauri, Lanzafame, Tiago, Pasquato, Marrone, Immobile are still owned by Juve and will return to us in the summer
Giovinco, Palladino, Ekdal, Almiron and Ariaudo are half owned by us and another club.
--------
Salihamidizic will leave in the summer, but that still leaves us with 25 senior players from the current squad+Amauri, Lanzafame, Tiago.

Ideally the team should have 22 senior players (two for every position) and the rest could be from primavera. In the summer we will have 6 senior players more than needed, so no matter how many new players we buy, we should sell that same number of players+6.

If we take a risk, then instead of 22 senior players we'll go with 20 senior players so in that case we can buy 2-3 good/great players and get rid of ~10 senior players.
