So, what was a better peice of business, then.

Emerson and Vieira for 25 million and 18 million, or Vidal, Pogba, and Pirlo for a combined 12 million.

And let's keep in mind that those 25 million and 18 million are from 8 years ago, so who knows what it would be now with inflation.

Oh, and one more thing. Was Emerson really THAT much better than Davids, to the point where they had to shell out that type of money for him?
Pogba was a fantastic signing, I will obviously agree with you there. But Vidal only wanted to join Juve (his words, not mine) and Pirlo is well beyond his prime and wanted to stay in Italy.

Emerson was the best defensive midfielder in the world at that time and Vieira still had some game left in him. Those prices are not really that outlandish considering it was only about seven years ago. The problem with that side was the manager, not Moggi. Capello was just another lethargic clown Italian coach living off of past glory that had no business in modern day football.

Nobody is better than Davids, but he was one of a kind.

Hope all is well, Serge.

"Matches between Inter and Juventus can no longer be called the Derby d'Italia. It's offensive," Moggi told reporters.

"This name was apt because at the time Juventus and Inter were the best teams around in Italy. At the moment, there's only Juventus, though.

"Inter, however, have lost the advantage that they had after Calciopoli. They are trailing Juventus by 26 points at the moment. They are back to their usual pre-Calciopoli level."

We always used to give Inter a game in the derby, even when we were otherwise shit. That just shows the difference in mentality between the clubs.

Moggi basically saying that Inter overpaid for Hernanes
