MOGGI: “Thiago Motta is a bit vain, he is first and the others are second. It's true that the team lacks leaders, but it's also true that many times players are used out of position. When they tell me about the injuries, it’s the coach’s mistakes that has brought the team to these levels. I would be ashamed of the coach, not the team. For Empoli he should be ashamed of himself.”

Luciano Moggi a 'Radio Bianconera': "Non ho dubbi su Igor Tudor, credo abbia la stoffa per rimanere alla Juventus. La sua storia in panchina parla chiaro".
Luciano Moggi on 'Radio Bianconera': "I have no doubts about Igor Tudor, I think he has what it takes to stay at Juventus. His history on the bench speaks for itself".

And then years later Moggi replaced ZZ with Nedved and he earned the B d’oro on the strength of Henry’s best szn

Luciano Moggi:

Camoranesi arrived five hours late on the scheduled time. He arrived by taxi, unhooled his trolly and showed up at the gate of the hotel school that hosted us. Gate that remained closed, on my order, for about twenty minutes.

Then I told the security guards to let him in, but not to accompany him by car to the accommodation. Camoranesi had to go there on foot, dragging his luggage and passing in front of his teammates who were training. Of course, it wasn't kilometres, but it was a symbolic gesture, hard to chew for people not even used to opening the car door. The player had to learn well what it meant to be part of Juventus. Understand that we were his employer and he was the employee.

Overpaid, moreover. For all this, and not only that, he had to bring us respect. He like any other footballers, of course.

From that day, Camoranesi learned how to behave at Juventus. He was appreciated for his professionalism and dedication to the shirt, so much so that he played eight seasons with us.

This is believable, especially when you hear about how Henry felt he was treated by Moggi. Moggi really took zero shit, while giving a lot of it. It worked in them days, wont work now though.

Easy to forget but Camo was a relative nobody when we signed him, he came from obscurity to Verona and then to us after just two seasons. So easier for us to do that sort of thing with him, wouldn't be as easy with a bigger player or ego.

And of course, these days it's harder and harder to do.
