What about a 4-3-1-2?

Lichsteiner--Barzagli--Chiellini--LB/Asa
Vidal--Pirlo/Marchiso--Pogba
Tevez
Llorente--Osvaldo

Obviously not a full time formation, but for occasional use. It could be an interesting formation. Just wish we had a better LB. Then Asa could fit into the midfield rotation. 5 great midfield players would be nice. Give rests to Vidal and Pogba.

additionally those 'optional' deals that turned out to be obligatory only work in italy, where everybody knows everybody and there are consequences to reneging such deals, this si not the case with an english team where it's all about whats on paper

that is not what I am saying, jendeh.

What I mean is this is marotta negotiating an italian player signing. His track record is not very positivve in that regard.

Southahmpton is going to milk this deal to the core for a medicore player. Marotta doesn't deserve praise for this move at all.

Yes. We did not buy Bendtner, Anelka, Borriello. So I don't see why we'd be worried that we're for sure going to buy Osvaldo during the summer. Unless he shows some kind of previously unseen form, he's going back to Southampton come Summer. However, he could surprise here. Conte could be just the manager for a guy like Osvaldo. Seeing as the loan is 0.4 million before bonuses... if he doesn't straighten up his act, he won't play much.

I'm with Lion on this one, more or less anyway. There must be a catch! Southampton paid 15M for this guy now they're letting him go for 6 months for FREE?

Don't forget the plus side for Southampton - form at a big team like Juve + a possible World Cup appearance off the back of that retains his value and draws other interest.
Unless Southampton is the most stupid club ever, this is simply not a good deal for them. Form? There's a BIG chance he won't even start more than 5 matches for us until the end of the season. A WC appeareance in my eyes is not that good of a reason for them to accept a "Ok, 6 months have passed, we don't want him". There must be something we don't know. And something tells me we might end up buying him. Hope i'm wrong.

the fact that southampton paid 15 mill for him to begin with will tell you enough how stupid they are
