we would be weaker when the opponent has the ball, because alonso is way weaker than poulsen, when we need to regain possesion.

and guess what ... most goals against us were because the opponent had the ball
so alonso would no way help us to get more goals against us (and THAT was a weak spot last season).
Now I wouldn't say most goals..

The return of youth players and Amauri is the only quality improvement we have done eventhough we all know Amauri wasn't needed so badly.
well lets say one of DP or Trez got Injured. then we would have to start with Iaquinta, and sub in palladino. now, we can mostly start with Amauri and sub in Iaquinta. as i see it, Amauri us better than Palla. we just improved ourselves to better handle the competitions we'll play in! maybe improvement in our attack wasnt needed badly, but it was definitely needed!

What if Cheillini get injured? We will have to start with Legro and Kenezvic would be our only sub.

What if Camo get injured? We will have to start with Sali and we will have bo sub as Marco is as always injured.

What if De Ceglie get injured? We will have to start with the man in my avatar with no one as a sub.

I can go on all day with your logic if you like.

A 6 from me. Amauri is one big player. The 3 youngsters and especialy Givinco are very promising. Melberg is a good transfer.

On the other hand Poulsen is a very bad transfer for me. We needed something creative like Xabi or Diego. If Ranieri wanted a DD we could get someone younger and with more potential and technique. For me Veloso would be the ideal transfer who could construct an awesome midfield pair with Momo for many years. Poulsen for me is a 28-years-old average player. Ok he was good with Sevilla but nothing special.

I'm pretty certain the spending hasn't finished. Aquilani will be playing in the black and white, I'm pretty sure.
This is a dream that our board can't accomplish.

He and Diego are 2 players that we need very much but we know we will never get.

I liked Tiago last year and I think he was not given enough playing time to show his quality. He is one year more experienced now and I know he do well.
I hope you mean another Tiago...

i would've liked it if Marchionni was sent out on loan or sold, and we got a replacement for him.
Hands off Marco. I hope he can give a lot to us. he is not just a winger and he can play as a playmaker too. I have very high hopes for this guy. He can be maybe the bigger creative force in our team if he is ok. Just watch some of his old games with Parma and you'll see. He was Parma's captain, he played as an AMC and he was realy something to see. If we can have that Marco back, this will be just wonderful...

His form at Parma means nothing, just watch Gilardino in his Parma days..
Marco is yet to complete a run of 2 months without injury to truly judge his form

Realism for me is filling gaps with players we need. Not having 4 defensive midfielders playing the same role on the field, while overlooking the gaps we have in defence.

Juve In London For Ivanovic
Juventus management has reportedly touched down in London today in an effort to secure the services of 24 year old centre back Branislav Ivanovic from Chelsea...

Recent reports have linked Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic with a move to the Bianconeri. Now, it appears that the mooted deal is close to becoming reality.

The player has failed to settle in London and has refused to close the door on a possible summer exit. With Chelsea looking to rebuild and offload dead wood, a switch from Stamford Bridge to the Turin giants would appear to be a win-win situation.

Now, reports suggest that a travelling troupe of Juve reps have touched down in London with a view to forcing through the potential transfer in person.

The Juve backline has been at the centre of much criticism so far this season, with many believing that Giorgio Chiellini is the only reliable defender in the squad.

Injuries have also added to coach Claudio Ranieri's problems. New signing Dario Knezevic is clearly struggling, with others finding it difficult to reach peak physical condition.

Reports state that the Bianconeri are prepared to make a bid of €5million for the Chelsea man - a fee which could be enough to pry him from the Blues' clutches. It is clear that the Serbian defender doesn't figure in the plans of new Chelsea gaffer Felipe Scolari.
