So Del Neri needs to teach him to run in the right direction?
it may come as a surprise to you, kyle, but the runs a player makes in a game, are taught and directed in training. hence...training. movement, runs, positions, how the team moves as a unit, attacks and defends, and maintains and alters its shape...all this comes from the manager.

its pointless me trying to explain this to you, because if you truly didn't realize that a manager and his coaching staff teach and train the timing and direction of forward runs into a squad, then you are probably following the wrong sport.

I know he can run as i enjoyed watching him run at catania, where he played a very different role to the one asked of him at Juve, asked of him by delneri. I am aware of his apparent fitness problems last summer, then his broken foot, and other niggling injuries which adversely affected his potential form. Still...i felt sorry for him, as when he did play, he seemed always in several minds, not knowing where or when or how fast to run. delneri would have drilled the runs he wanted the players to be making, into the squad during training. this worked out well with de ceglie, whose covering and all round game improved with more intelligent coaching behind him, but with martinez, it worked out awful.

yes, i think part of the reason why he often looked like a headless chicken is because of delneri basically trying to train him in a completely new position. driving forward, making use of a brilliant turn of pace, a few tricks here and there, then go for goal...that is martinez. delneri asked him to run backwards as much as forwards, to tackle as much as attack, to cross far more than take the ball into the box and shoot.

Hohohohoho... another dasterdly and deceitful american. Why art thou not surprised? Blast off to another planet of toil and trouble serpico !
why oh fucking why, do you feel the need to present yourself as an un-needed, unasked for, waste of space Kunt, berkness...??? the only people who laugh at you are sycophantic imbeciles, who seem to show zero suspicion, that maybe, just maybe...berkness ain't quite the GOD of football and knowledge that he presents himself as??i know its a big Maybe...but there is certainly reason to believe its possible. It says much about the mental capabilities or perhaps just the age, of many posters on here, when they believe in your almost total knowledge of footballers in every major league. an expert of experts eh??? its as if you take great pride in knowing more than everyone else, and when you state an opinion, you state it is a gods word, as irrefutable fact...a top class insecure swine, of the highest order, always so insanely and sickenly desperate for respect from strangers...

you pro-actively anatagonize me, and others, not for any football orientated reason, its purely because you are a kunt who seems to take great pleasure in rummaging through the forums, collecting quotes from people to display against them in the future, like some retarded wannabe lawyer. truly, what drives you to get involved in a conversation which isn't nasty, or insulting, its all about football, and your only input is to intentionally wind me up??? what kind of sick joy do you get from that?? and why the fuk don't the moderators tell you ever to stop acting like an arrogant, ignorant pleb with delusions of grandeur and omnipotence?????

fkin moron...keep up the good work, mate

I believe I was the first one on this forum to notice that Martinez doesnt run correctly, meaning that his gait is all fucked up, which will (surprise, surprise) lead to injuries

How our manager and training staff didnt notice this before signing him is beyond me....now, we couldnt even give this crippled horse away !!!

I think I know why Marotta didnt SEE this, :p
