I know. My point is that Martinez was the kind of players we were able to sign back then. And it's only 8 years ago! These days he'd be a Sampdoria/Udinese level signing.
In 2010 we signed Martinez while Barcelona signed David Villa, City signed Yaya Toure, Milan signed Zlatan...
