We won´t sign him. Didier doesn´t want him and I think it is disrespectful just to sign player to earn money.

boumsong is notgreat but he is a good buy for a club who was getting relegated. I mean he is a french international who we took to play in serie b

i don't think DD or the club plan on using hi as a starter in Serie A
I agree with you granted his not great but we had limited choices at defense going into serie b. Like him or not he deserves some respect for coming to this team in our darkest hour.

P.S. I hope he warms the bench next year.

Boum Boum came here coz he wasnt playing at Newcastle where they were close to relegation...so it was a good chance he comes here knowing that we'll make it to serie A in a year :eyebrows:
but I respect him as well

Javier Saviola's agent has rubbished reports claiming he was set to switch Barcelona for Real Madrid.

Reports in Spain earlier this week suggested Real were lining up a shock move for the Argentine striker on a free transfer.

Saviola's current contract at Camp Nou expires in the summer and as yet no new deal has been agreed.

It means the diminutive front man is free to talk to interested clubs and Real were reported to be planning a move to take him to El Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the player's representative Diego Queiruga has moved to dismiss the rumours.

"Javier Saviola has not signed with Real Madrid. That is assured," Queiruga told Sport.

"This was a simple link to sell more papers."

Saviola was ignoring the speculation and insists he is only concentrating on trying to end the season on a high.

"I am a Barcelona player and my mission is to help the team fight for the Liga and Copa del Rey titles."

Spanish Television channel TV3 suggests that Barcelona are on the verge of offering Saviola a lucrative new deal in a bid to persuade him to stay at Camp Nou.

Saviola opens Italian door
Thursday 3 May, 2007
Juventus target Javier Saviola has confirmed that he could leave Barcelona for Italy at the end of this season.

The Argentine is liked by the Italian giants because of his possible Bosman transfer status and he’s admitted that he’s growing tired of waiting for a new contract offer at the Nou Camp.

“My present situation is annoying me,” said the man whose deal at Barca expires at the end of June.

“The club have told me that they will make me an extension offer, but this has yet to happen and it never will.

“I have a great relationship with my teammates and the fans, but I honestly don’t know at this time whether I will stay at Barcelona.

“Should I leave the club then I would like to stay in Spain as I have been happy here for six years now.

“However, I can’t possibly exclude the possibility of going to play for an ambitious club in England or Italy.”

The South American has been linked with clubs such as Real Madrid, Real Zaragoza and Villarreal in Spain, while a host of English sides are keen.

Nevertheless, Juve boss Didier Deschamps could prove decisive seeing as he coached the attacking sensation while both were at Monaco.
