So what's everyone's thoughts on this AC Milan takeover? Will it actually make a difference? So far none of the takeovers in Serie A have had any significant difference, Roma and Inter have hardly had the impact that the EPL teams and PSG have had.

Because its not the same type of investment that PSG and City received. Milan will act like Inter where they will have to spend wisely, build a stadium and so on. They wont spend hundreds of millions over 2 or 3 seasons. Their owners arent that rich and I doubt would have the kind of corporates (like Etihad or Qatar airways) that can spend millions on shirt sponsorships.

The milanese clubs will be like german clubs.

Thohir definitely wasn't that rich and neither was Pallotta with Roma. I mean, sure, they have lots of money, but they're not the easy spending mega rich kind of owners.

Now, this Thai guy, Mr Bee. I don't know much about him... is he the mega-rich, spend a fortune on his football club type? or is he the wise spending, long-term investment type?

I heard there is an Arab(Abu-Dhabi bank) and a Chinese bank backing him up.

Btw Pallotta doesnt totally own Roma.He heads a consortium of investors. This Bee guy is similar to him though maybe he has a larger financial backing than Pallotta.

According to rumours Berlusconi hasn't sold to Bee yet because he questions his purchasing power. It's safe to say that Mr. Pink would be better for Milan than Touchyaballs

I did not know that, I thought it was just Pallotta and 1 or 2 investors... It does make sense though.

I don't mind seeing Milan recover slowly under good ownership, it would be good for Serie A to have them return to battling with us for primacy, I just don't want to see a PSG/Chelsea/ManCity style spending spree get them there.

Crappy future for glamorous "CL genes" Bbilanisti who already discuss whether Cavani or Neymar is coming next season :D But I agree on your analysis.
Not necessarily a crappy future. Juve started from scratch too and it took us 5 years after the rebuilding began to win our first title. We were lucky in that we re-built when everyone in Italy was already collapsed. Its going to take amazing work for us to get back our financial standing in Europe but being #1 in Italy by a distance surely helps.

Point is, it wont take much to be a top 3 team in Italy. They just need to find a working formula

Even their(Roma's) new stadium is being financed separately by some stadium construction company so that they dont have to take on the debt so its safe to assume all the revenues coming from the stadium wont be totally going towards Roma.Maybe its not a bad thing especially when you're investing 1.2 billion euros in the project.

Taechaboul’s family business had aggregate revenue of $100 million for the 2012-13 fiscal year, according to people privy to the numbers. Two years ago, Taechaboul told The Worldfolio ” It isn’t like I have THB10 billion ($310 million) of cash lying around, but I know where to get it.”

Milan and Napoli

Milan as always getting awarded the most penalties, and Napoli as per usual never conceding any (they conceded their first penalty in years at San Paolo recently)...the more things "change" eh

Depends on what kind of takeover it is

Is it an owner that wants to pour money into the club for fame and silverware ?

Or is it an owner that just completes the takeover, and sees it from there

Berlusconi wants the first, and i think is now hesitating cause he realises its is probably gonna be the latter
