Most Italian clubs start late with preseason. Serie A starts at the end of August while in other major leagues 2-3 rounds are played by then. I remember once Serie A started in October cause of Olympics.

While other European teams use 433, 4231 Italians chose to go back 30 years in past. Our interpretation of 352 is very different compared to for example Torino's or other mid table team in Serie A.
