now look at us. compare 2008 Bayern with us now. keep in mind that Bayern has consecutive 20+ years of positive business results and we are just at the beginning of our path in that regard with great debts our previous management left us. see how they decide to invest after every failed season. we under Conte, until now, didnt have such a failed season. there were times when Bayern wasnt a powerhorse in Europe and couldnt attract best players. at that time, they bought players like we do today (BLs best which wasnt what it is today and freebies/cheap players).

one star player this summer with 2-3 good ones would improve us to a regular CL QF team, and we will continue to grow each year (on how much our finances allow us) and becoming one of Europes very best teams in the next few years...

Milan is having a change of generation - you can't replace Maldini, Costacurta, Nesta, Seedorf, Inzaghi, Rui Costa, Shevchenko, Silva and Ibrahimovic instantly, also it's hard to do when your president decided to change the transfer policy and cut your budget. Bayern has 20+ years of positive financing behind them. we are just at the beginning with our new management, we add quality each year and improve our squad, while keeping an eye on our finances and not getting in debts. and all that with the big debt the previou management left us. i'd say we are doing great and we could be comparable with Bayern in a few years...

Clearly they are operating from a position of extreme strength. But while I agree that any club that "stays still" is asking to fall backwards to the competition, methinks Bayern is overtinkering. Two prime examples: Mandzukic's exit and Guardiola's arrival. Both I feel are mistakes of overtinkering.

if Guardiola is a mistake or not cant be said just yet. he ruined their beutiful style of play, he disbalanced the team, some players are not happy with him, but if he succeedes in the end, that will all be forgotten. i dont like him either, but its too early to tell. next thing is that he was an opportunity Hoeness didnt want to miss out on. he said they got the coach everyone else wanted and thats something that proves Bayern is a powerhorse in Europe. from marketing point of view that was a briliant move. they also got Gotze for 37M which was also an opportunity they couldnt miss out on. getting the potentialy best german player and one of the best in the world who in normal circumstances, would went for 60M+ probaby if it wasnt for that release clause. that is also an opportunity you just snap on. you see what im talking about? they wait for a great opportunity and then they react. they could just do what Real is doing because they have money but they play smart... they are not overthinkering as you say. they are planning far ahead every single move they make and thats how they have grown on both financial matter and footballing matter. thats why they got Guardiola and Gotze. Mandzukic may be gone but they got a better striker in Lewandowski and if that was a mistake or not cant be said just yet. also, investing in the basketball team is also a good example as they made a Euroleague top 16 team out of a 2. BL team in just 2 years.

getting great players every summer for argubly low fees, increasing the image of the club in both sporting and marketing views, keeping winning trophies and still keeping the finances positive for more than 20+ years. thats something no other club has done and something we are looking to do in the coming years...

And they will perish soon, like most of these clubs had. We'll see them again after a few decades. While our mgt often use Bayern as an example Barbara are using friggin Atletico.

And Milan earns 2x the income Atletico does, even more.

Atletico has debts more than 10x their net worth. For all their success on the pitch, they are one of the worst run football clubs off it in the big leagues. I hope Milan follow their example and perish.
