That's because he was always a fan of the Swedish media since he was a little boy and has always wanted to do interviews with them and show them what a great role model he is, not the Italian media as first reported, or the Spanish media, who he didn't hold in such esteem.

You want him to be the bad guy you imagine him to be, the guy who simply has to be the opposite of your hero, so now you immediately jumped to dismiss the reliability and objectivity of people who actually talk to him, interview him and know him.
