Im afraid for a geopolitical domino, that by escalation in both Ukraine and Israel that ‘we’ as the West are getting dragged into the war. I don’t see us accepting that Jerusalem and Kiev would fall.
Iran is as isolated as a country can be. The government there lacks popular support too. That’s why they’re reluctant to escalate this beyond proxy groups and performative attacks. But yeah, in a war between Iran and Israel west has no choice but to support Israel considering the alternative.

Yes and geography is in our favour, unless they form a coalition.

Yesterday I was listening to a podcast between analysts, they were quite pessimistic about everything. Apparently the difficult part of trying to manage everything for western politicians is because the European and American elections are ahead of us, which make it hard to find any long term commitments and agreements. Hard measurements either to Russia or Iran might lead to inflation and therefore create a better position for the far right. Besides that, it’s also a question of what kind of world Trump and the new EU leaders will inherent within the next 6 months to a year.

Also a interesting fact is that we haven’t seen as many conflict in a global level since 1946. Apparently there are over 50 conflicts going on, most with militias fighting in countries against each other instead of conventional war between countries, but the world of hostiler than all of us have ever seen.

It feels a bit like we’re in a situation where we don’t have any grip on, we’re left hoping that Israel, Russia or Iran won’t make any decision that would worsen the situation, and nobody trusts any of those parties.

A news agency close to IRGC reports explosions have been heard near a military airbase, which is also not far from Esfahan airport. As far as I know there are no nuclear sites there.

Iran's attack was posturing, and so is this. Unless they've killed Franz Ferdinand this is just them wanting to have the last say? It's so childish and the stakes are so high Jesus Christ it's lunacy

Iran denies any successful direct Israel attack and says the explosions were the result of their air defense system’s response to some quadcopters.
hopefully this is the end of it.
