Christians believe in God, follow Christ BUT worship God. I think "worshipping & following the prophet" instead of what God is actually teaching is where issues arise. All the Prophet had to do was write down what God was telling him. All we need to know, is in the book, correct?

It's the total opposite Cam, the main contention with Christians by Muslims is the fact that Christians worship a prophet as a God or son of God/part of the Holy trinity. The issue is as said opposite, you admire and listen to the message of a prophet but you don't worship him. Mohammed isn't divine except being chosen by God as the last prophet.

I don't think Jesus was God, rather, divine intervention in his miracle birth. Its complicated, my view, but I believe in Christ just differently. And not speaking for ALL Muslims, rather some around here I've heard give an especially high amount of worship to the Prophet.

Exactly (though some do smaller dominations do) , I'm not saying otherwise, just trying to reason with Cam that he had it bit off (regarding Islam / mohammed). There is a distinction though, they don't see him as just a prophet, but more then that. But doesn't make him Iess of divine deity to have been a prophet (he referred to himself as such in Bible in his teachings), since he was spreading and preaching the word of God he is one too either way in technical since of the word, before the resurrection and et al.

Like I said before, without a real threat to the US, I don't really care what happens to Syria. But in weighing the possibilities, Assad is by far the better option. It's common sense, really.

If u don't care about Syria then u shouldn't be choosing between the two. It's not like ISIS has done anything to threaten US! Maybe it threats the US policies in Iraq, all the investment in Army and everything else, is going down the drain.
