That is one of the worst posts I've read here....

Of course no player is bigger than a club, but what's your point?

Is Alex trying to prove that he's bigger than a club?

is Alex trying to prove he's bigger than Juve fans?

is and is..... If Ale would have been all this he wouldn't come out the 1st one and state that he's in Juve for life whether it's B or C.

He ALREADY had TWO pay-cuts, to ask him more, would be over the limit. Apart from no one is bigger than a club which has nothing to do with Ale not accepting the Club's contract offers, he's Juventus symbol, Juventus Idol, fans idol, Juventus Captain, all time scorer, Juve's fan fav player ever, bring media and advs to the club.... etc

So Cobolli and his folks can go blow it up somewhere else, If Alex would accept a pay-cut me as Ale admirer i'd be really upset and wouldn't be happy with his decision. He has served this club more than any other player in Serie A ATM apart from Maldini. So would be a shame on this new mang to do such a thing.

I don't think Moggi or Angeli(may he RIP) would be happy with what the club is currently doing with someone like Alessandro Del Piero.

Del Piero IS a great player, mind you take the "Was" and put it somewhere else..

You can't say the "Was" word when he has over-took record being all time juventus scorer, 219 and the number keep increasin.

You can't say "was" when he has been our most decent player in the last couple of years, check your stats and facts, boy.

you can't say "Was" when someone like Ale has won the world cup. etc...

So Ale should be happy that Juventus gave him the opportunity to play with them? :howler:, your father REALLY knows a thing or two about football.

FFS, It's for Juve's good that they signed someone like Alex from Padova, if not Juve, someone else would have signed that talented player who was playing for Padova. I guess you recently started following Juve ehhh?

Alex is a Juve fan more than you and your entire family will ever be. Questioning whether Alex is a Juve fan or not is simply lame, you either trying to provoke members or you're acting stupid, should be one of them.
Always the same song. Alex this, Alex that :blah: But since that 1997/98 season Alex was never our best player. NEVER! In all these years other great players who could have become Juve stars didn´t end up in Juve just because there had to be always a starting spot reserved for him. Even when he was piss poor and incosistent and Juventus were struggling with him. And when Ibrahimovic took his spot and acted the same as Alex then you wanted his head on the plate. Should I remind you that he threatened that he will leave just because Capello didn´t put the poor boy on the field from 1st minute every match? Double standards and biased point of view. I would love to have today´s Ibra over 2 Del Piero´s. He is superior right now. But you don´t want to accept it because you are nothing but ignorant and your football knowledge is extremely overrated. Not to mention you are rude and childish and arrogant, overconfident brat. You really make me sick.

Let me start this post by saying that Alessandro del Piero is the one soccer player I would try to approach in real life. As a rule of thumb I don't approach celebrities because I know they would see me as just as a fan and because I don't want to disturb them. The reason I would approach Alex is simply that I would like to thank him. As an Italian Juventus star he has given me a lot of moments of joy.

However, I do not like to see people talk about what he has done for Juventus. Let's think about what Juventus did for del Piero for once. They gave him a career. They took a gamble on him. They made him their main man. Had del Piero played anywhere else, including Milan or Inter, he would have been ditched by the Italian public and the Italian NT coach after a couple of not so good years.

He gave Juventus a lot, but it works two ways. Amazingly enough, del Piero's still a very decent player. Even good enough to start a fair share of games for Juventus. But he's demanding a lot at the moment. I know it has to do with status, but thanks to Juventus del Piero was the world's best paid football player at one stage. It's Juventus who gave him a house and a car. So is it that unreasonable to ask for a paycut? Let's face facts, del Piero's slowly fading away, as it should be.

Till 1998 Season Del Piero scored: 76 goals in all tournaments. Averaging 15.2 goals per season.
Since 1998: he scored 143 goals = ~ 15.9 Goals per season. During this era Del Piero got injured few times and had to miss alot of games. Including his famous injury where he almost missed out the whole season then went through a recovery period.

I am sure his assists to his team-mates did not change as well. So STATISTICALLY SPEAKING he's doing more than fine.

Ofcoruse you will come out saying Totti scored ALOT more and got himself a goldenboot ..etc I can't deny. Totti is an outstanding player and his performance with Roma was totally wonderful last season. BUT you also have to note that Roma for the past couple of years or so have been playing with Totti as a lone striker. So the whole team is assisting him to score. No competition. Never the less, it was an outstanding number of goals he managed to score, and he does deserve every single penny he's getting.
You are also right, Kaka did single handedly win the CL. But lets not forget the amazing form of Pirlo and Gattuso alotside other players in the team as well including Nesta ;) , you are right still he was THE MOST impressive in the group.

Other other hand, when we were in Serie B with all the spirits being down, Del Piero (alongside excellent form of Buffon) got us back to Serie A from sub zero points. Not only that, we won the league and he won the top scorer.

You beleive that because of Del Piero, Juventus did not get any "better" players to play in his position? I don't know what team have you been wathing but that is absolutely not true.
If you are hinting on Henry's deal, henry is an amazing player but in no way he would have done what Del Piero has done with Juve. When he came to Juve he did not impress. He's not an Italian league type of a player.
I've said it before, I started supporting Juve before Del Piero ever arrived at Juve. I don't know about you though? Being able to see Juve before Del Piero and after he arrived I am forced to beleive in him. I am forced to be biased to him. I AM BIASED TO DEL PIERO... But I am not blind. Whether you like it or not this era is Del Piero's era. An era where the likes of Zinedine Zidane (one of the best players in history) couldn't not shine more than Del Piero while they were in Juve. Not because they did not play well, but because Del Piero played better, or lets just say he was magical.
In this Del Piero Era trophies 15 topend trophies were won (two unjustly revoked) and 1 Serie B league. Meaning a total of 16 trophies.

Just for the record I am not degrading other players. These trophies would have been difficult to acheive without the protection of the likes of Peruzzi and Buffon, the security of Ferrara, Montero and Cannavaro OR the creativity of Zidane and Nedved.

If you still think that Del Piero was not our best player since 1998. Look back to the Capello seasons.. Do you really beleive that without Del Piero we would have won those two stolen scudetti? It was clear in the 2006 season whenever Del Piero does not play we cannot do anything or even win. We lost the champion's league once del piero got injured. We lost the Coppa once capello decided to bench del piero in these matches althoguh literally he single handedly got us to the Roma game.

So don't come out saying stuff like he wasn't our best player, becasue by this you really show that you have no bloody idea what you are talking about.

Ikapornstar aka m.r.ak.69, sorry to tell you this, but i don't read your posts. don't take it personal, but your football knowledge isn't exactly up there. You'll have enough time in the future though.

Well, Kaka almost single-handely lifted the Champions League trophy and Totti was rewarded with a Golden Foot for being the player with most goals in top 5 European leagues, something what Del Piero will never achieve again. And he never did. I agree he had a perfect season in Serie B but players such as Buffon, Camoranesi and Nedved are as much as responsible as Del Piero for getting Juve back to Serie A. Nedved even more. So, he should stop thinking about himself and accept a paycut as this is in interest of a club. It´s not that drastic reduce of his wage.
lol Del Piero was the one who won Golden Foot,
Totti won the Golden Boot, smartass :D

Rome, Oct. 1 (Pruitt injured)
By Marc Spears, Globe Staff

Celtics rookie point guard Gabe Pruitt injured his left ankle during Monday's practice while scrimmaging in Rome. The 32nd overall pick of the second round in this year's draft has been listed as day-to-day. Celtics coach Doc Rivers acknowledged recently that Pruitt has been very impressive and is playing the best of all the rookies.

At the end of Monday's practice, Italian soccer legend Alessandro Del Piero made an appearance and hung out with the players. While Celtics newcomers Kevin Garnett and Esteban Batista are both huge soccer fans who knew who Del Piero was, Batista said most of his teammates probably had no clue. The striker is arguably the best soccer player in Italian history, is Juventus' all-time leading scorer and has won seven Italian championships. After an NBA official explained Del Piero's background, Celtics coach Doc Rivers described him as "the Kevin Garnett" of Italian soccer.

Garnett and Del Piero seemed to really enjoy interacting with one another as they joined in on an interview and took numerous pictures. While Piero kicked the soccer ball around with Garnett and fellow Celtics Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, Pierce accidentally nearly kicked the ball in Garnett's face. It was also interesting to see the 6-foot-10 Batista, who played goalie in his native Uruguay, sheepishly ask Del Piero to autograph a soccer ball for him.

Trezeguet never does anything, yet he has over 100 goals in serie a.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down Trezeguet, but to say that he deserved a goal more than Del Piero yesterday is stupid. Before he scored he had done little to say he 'deserved' a goal.

This is Del Piero's last contract as a pro footballer, of coz the man wanna do it right. Del Piero is slowly fading away, ok, i accept it. It's a fact. That day will come for every legend. Well, I will not trying to argue with u how much he deserve to take home every week because that it's between the board and the man himself.
I just wanna get some things straight. I almost puke my lunch out when someone here mentioned how great Ibra was when he was w Juve. Mind you, this new season is the new season that Ibra has since he joined Seria A. and Perhaps Ibra is maturing and also with great players like Cambiasso(i like him), Viera, Figo those stars playing alongside him at Inter, sure he will have a fantastic season and a lot of chances to score. He didn;t impress me much esp in his 2nd season with Juve. Del Piero was great if not fantastic in the season where we got into the champions league final. Nedved was our best player, but i reckon Del Piero came in second. The match against Real will live in my memory forever!! also, in Crapello's 2nd season incharge, he benched DP more and more but yet the stats proved that he was our most effective striker. so, I think you need to get the facts right buddy.
We're del piero's supporters but we're not fan boys. We don;t support just for the sake of support. The man has done so much for the club. I guess he deserves a little more respect from u. From now until his last contract finishes, I don;t mind he being a bench player/sub role but u cannot simply deny what he has achieved/done in the past!!
Thank u very much.

We Can Lose Del Piero, Admits Secco

the Director of Sports of the Bianconeri explained the current situation with Alessandro Del Piero's contract.

"Saying what Del Piero represents for Juventus is unnecessary," he said. "The risk of losing him exists, but we are doing everything we can and we have the intention of reaching an agreement.

"I can say that we are working in the right direction for an agreement and the effort of all parties is finalized for this," Secco continued.

We Never Give up - Del Piero

The Captain of the Bianconeri spoke about Juve's important 1-0 win in the derby della Mole against Torino on Sunday, which allowed the Old Lady to remain within just one point of Inter.

Alessandro Del Piero is very satisfied following the Bianconeri's win in the Turin derby which pushed Juventus to the second place in the standings.

"It was a derby with the big 'D': hard fought, intense and agonistic just like tradition wants," he explained. "The desire of not giving up was fundamental to reach the win in the final minute."

Now Pinturicchio is not happy with just sitting in the second place of the standings, but is targeting the top position currently held by Inter.

"Now let's look forward by being more humble, preparing ourselves for one match at a time," he confirmed.

Juventus currently have 13 points from 6 matches played and are just one point behind the Nerazzurri in the title race.

We Can Lose Del Piero, Admits Secco :wallbang:

The Director of Sports of Juventus spoke about the possibility that the Bianconeri do not succeed in reaching an agreement with their captain for a contract renewal.

Alessio Secco, along with the rest of the Old Lady's directors, is enjoying the current moment of Juventus, which he attributes mostly to Coach Claudio Ranieri.

"He has great merit in the results obtained so far," he declared to Sky. "He's a coach who integrates perfectly with Juventus of today and with the directors. There's a great feeling with him."

With regards to the transfer market, Secco is unsure whether the Bianconeri will eventually search for a new defender in January.

"Legrottaglie is doing very well. We shall calmly do an evaluation from now till January, and if things continue this way, there are no reasons to go on the market."

Finally, the Director of Sports of the Bianconeri explained the current situation with Alessandro Del Piero's contract.

"It's a situation which does not please anyone, but Ranieri has such a character that is not conditioned by anyone and it's fair that it should be this way."
