You read a lot, but instead of that do it yourself so you'll see what happens.
I'm not the typical reader

First gym i went to, and still do on frydays, is owned by a competitive bodybuilder, who trains with a former silver medal european championships guy. been in the scene for decades, also a certified nutritionist (dont know if this is correct translation)

He made my food schedule, and measures my cutting progress

current gym i go to, has a few competitors in belgian powerlifting scene. one of them helped me on my bill star bulk and improved my form. another one of those guys is set me on my current 'cutting with minimal strenght loss' schedule, and monitors it, as there is much that you can do wrong.

I however, dont take words for truth easely, so i allways look up what they say on specialised forums.

having said that, i started my bill star at 113 kg, went up to 120 whilst raising bench 25kg,squat 35kg and dl 60 kg

i'm cutting down to 100kg, am at 109 now, and only lost 5kg on bench and squat, deadlift still the same

So, yeah i kinda did it myself, and i'm pretty certain at 100kg i'll still lift alot more then i did before the bulk

Ouch  How does that... no, I don't wanna know.

Were you lean?

Roids are for idiots (especially those that are not competing on the highest level).

As for bulking, there are a lot of theories but none suggest that you need extra calories to add muscle as there is no scientific evidence for such. So what if bodybuilders do bulking cutting? Another thing is that NOBODY knows how much calories (while bulking) you need to add muscle. And if you go down with that theory that eating more builds muscle, then eating less means losing muscle I guess..which is not the case. When they end that 'cycle' you should rather ask them how much muscle did they add.. when you burn that fat it all goes down on the level you were. Go on 7% bf and measure your weight. After that go on bulking and after a while cut down to 7% again, you will see your gains. They are going to be minimal and question is why did you need to bulk up in the first place. You read a lot, but instead of that do it yourself so you'll see what happens.
it just felt weird, not that painful. And I am hella lean :D i ll post a pic later

For 3 weeks now I've been going to the gym for 4 days a week :weee:
Cardio and light weight training. The past couple of days I've been using the rowing machine in the gym instead of the treadmill. The underside of my foot started aching whenever I applied a little pressure on it, so couldn't run. Is the rowing machine any good? Can it be a replacement for regular cardio (cycling/running etc.)? My foot is better now, so I can start running again. I would like to know anyways.

I wish we could go running together. I need a partner. :D

Rowing is great and better than running/cycling because you work cardio, arms, core, etc. Though you should do it as well as running/cycling when your foot heals.

We'd be perfect partners. Instead of pushing each other, we'll probably sit down in a corner and debate why exercise is bad for us :D

Thanks

I am probably in my best form of my life however I am not happy with my body fat and the only way to fix that is a proper diet which I cannot stand.

Yeah, diets suck.

So I guess my core is weak, but is it normal for pushups to cause lower back soreness even if I've been doing them for weeks? I think I have my form correct, so it's not that.
