You read a lot, but instead of that do it yourself so you'll see what happens.
First gym i went to, and still do on frydays, is owned by a competitive bodybuilder, who trains with a former silver medal european championships guy. been in the scene for decades, also a certified nutritionist (dont know if this is correct translation)
He made my food schedule, and measures my cutting progress
current gym i go to, has a few competitors in belgian powerlifting scene. one of them helped me on my bill star bulk and improved my form. another one of those guys is set me on my current 'cutting with minimal strenght loss' schedule, and monitors it, as there is much that you can do wrong.
I however, dont take words for truth easely, so i allways look up what they say on specialised forums.
having said that, i started my bill star at 113 kg, went up to 120 whilst raising bench 25kg,squat 35kg and dl 60 kg
i'm cutting down to 100kg, am at 109 now, and only lost 5kg on bench and squat, deadlift still the same
So, yeah i kinda did it myself, and i'm pretty certain at 100kg i'll still lift alot more then i did before the bulk
