You can't pick and choose which goals are the most decisive. the goals in the end of the season are usually more memorable, but they wouldn't have been decisive if the team didn't score the other 90% of goals during a season. The fact is, he was for the most part a player that was in and out of the City starting eleven, he was never that special in the EPL despite his exploits in Germany. I rate him to be honest, in fact I'm sure he'd have made Arsenal better if he was our striker and not Fucking Jiro, but to compare him to Higuain, one of the best strikers in the world in the past 6-7 years is just a stretch too far.
There is a reason Higuain played for Real and then Juve, while Dzeko was not a regular starter for City then ended up playing for Roma.

how about this then. Dzeko scored the goal to give City the lead in 8 different games in 13/14, which they all won in the end. heres a few games of that season

City won the title by 2 pts btw. he played 93 games in his 1st 3 (full) seasons at City, it was his last season when his performances declined and he played much less. he was their 2nd best scorer behind Aguero for his time there.
there is a reason Real ditched him and won 3 CL afterwards. there is also a reason hes invisible whenever he plays Real or Barcelona. hes a great league striker, still very good at this point even, despite the decline, but atm Dzeko is the better player. last 2 seasons showed that much

I don't think you got my point, I never disputed that he scored goals that led to points at the end of the season, I'm saying that isn't as significant as its made out to be. These goals might be more memorable because they came at the end of the season, but a league title is about who gets the most points, points at the end of the season don't count for more than those that came at the start of the season. The only reason Dzekos goals were significant is because City scored enough goals and got enough points during the course of the season to keep themselves in the race at the end of the season.
and i made a different point, that they wouldnt have won the title without his goals. those are 6 games right there his goals won for them. thats 18 pts from his contribution alone, not counting other games (only took a look at close result games or games he scored 1st in). over here, Dzeko cant even take a dog for a walk without the media reporting it, so ive got to read all about him over the years. m 100% sure they arent winning atleast one of their titles without him

And how about the winning header against Inter and the lone goal beating Napoli. If not for those goals Juve would sit at 88 points right now. A poster back after the away Napoli match mentioned that if not Higgy, some other player would have scored that goal. Zizinho, I guess Dzeko would have been that player if he wore the Juve jersey, right? :wink:

The truth is that goal against Tottenham used to be more frequent with Napoli and since then those occurrences have been fewer and fewer. He has to produce those goals regularly in order for him to be better than other strikers. That should be logical.
You see some of the goals Balotelli has scored lately? Why wouldn't I just sign him for free instead of Higuain for 94M. For sure Balotelli can score tap-ins. For sure he can score PKs. What is the difference that is supposed to separate them? Higuain has missed too many sitters this year to claim he is so far ahead of other strikers.
Only replied to what you stated about Higgy and heading. Fuck the earlier miss my friend, no relevance to it. Juve won 3-2 and Higgy scored the winning goal. All that matters on the scoresheet.
That being said of course I believe Higgy had a subpar year as a whole. I can't argue about that and if someone better can be had, than fine with me. As good as the results showed this year with plenty of goals, never did seem to be any kind of rhythm to Juve's offensive flow.
