His record speaks for itself.
Stop being so closed minded. I have absolutely nothing against Trez. I don't like Trez-style strikers but I have always maintained that he has been one of our best strikers over the years, perhaps the only striker that really deserves mention.

But I also think that Trez won't be a starter and any non-Trez fanatic would probably agree with me when I say this. Forgive me for being harsh, but I don't like the idea of spending 9M a year for a bench player. We can use that money to drastically improve on other departments.

If we were in a very desirable financial situation and could easilly afford having Trez on the bench while strengthening other departments and even injecting youth into our attack, then I would never want Trez to leave. However, that's sadly anything but our reality. And the only logical move here would be to sell Trez for a good price and save a hefty amount of money that would have been spent on wages the following years and use that money to increase the quality in this squad.

I want what's best for Juve, not what's best for David or any other player.

To be honest, I didn't like the idea of signing Amauri at first because of the age factor. Also, at the time we didn't really need attackers, Trez, IQ, and Alex were doing extremely well if I remember correctly. We were in dire need of defenders and most of us hated the board for being foolish and completently ignorant of our real problems.
Great minds think alike:tup:

However, I had always known he was a very skillful player who could give us a lot in the next two or three years so I couldn't really have too many complaints.
But unfortunately, he cant win by himself, we really needed those defenders
and we could still get them instead of Poulsen...

Now, we're faced with a simmilar situation, this time I say we opt for a young talent(Rossi) who along with players like Chiellini, Giovinco, Marchisio, and Sissoko, we can really build a great team around for years to come.
Thats exactly what i have been expecting to see. This was supposed to be the core of our five year plan, it is however compromised...
Esp with the rate and pattern we move in the transfer market...

We have added a potentially world class, young player to our offensive unit. We are also trying to add a high qaulity midfielder, an italian at that, to the ranks. Then there is the defence which needs strengthening, especially on the flanks. Ciro is obviously aware of this, and must be addressing the problem as we speak and write on here.

With Giovinco shining at the EUROs, its madness to assume he will be loaned out or used as a part exchange elsewhere, in fact, it will surely add weight to the atomic ant's case of playing a far greater and more consistent role in first team plans this coming season.

So in attack we have Del Piero, Amauri, Iaquinta, Trezeguet...and I will hope that Giovinco can be playing in Del Piero's role in some games, and in Diego's position for others, when the brazillian is banned or injured.

I am not a great fan of Amauri. I think we overpaid for him, at a time when we needed reinforcements in other areas of the field...Still, he did OK.

Iaquinta is a bullish character who will cause problems for any defence and score goals, but he is not prolific. The only prolific striker we have is Trezeguet, and if he does indeed leave the club, we MUST EMPLOY ANOTHER GOALSCORER...

Rossi to me, is closer to Del Piero, in terms of Player Type, than Trezeguet...and for that role, apprentice if you like, we must use giovinco, who i prefer to Rossi.

Del Piero is getting old, but he still has much to offer, whether from the bench of the start.

But all this talk of Rossi...he is clearly not needed as much as major reinforcements in defence.

lets get a left back and a right back, then we can play with the attack...unless Trezeguet decides to leave, then fine, sign a GOALSCORER, not Rossi.

Its better for us to have a solid back four, than a slight improvement in the NOW and major improvement in the future, for our attack.

The thing about Juve is that we remain, in the minds and hearts of most players, a team of extreme prestige. So even if Rossi were to go to another club, unless he turns out to be one of the top handful of players in the world, and soonish, we will be able to attract him in the future. Players want to play for Juventus.

Its fitting for me to have posted 666...

Nothing against Molinaro I just have a zest for short, fast, burley men that run wild up and down the sidleline aimlessly wasting away golden opportunities.

I have nothing against Zambrotta, I just hate bubonic-plague-carrying sewer rats that backpass to the other team's strikers.
