Every season Del Piero plays an integral part of the team and the coming of Rossi won't affect that I think. I mean Rossi is good, but still not good enough to replace Del Piero. Maybe in a couple years when Del Piero's ready to retire but I don't think they should line up a replacement just yet. Plus they owe it to him to honour his wishes-what with being faithful to the club for oh about 16 years.

So its not so much about Del Piero the player, but Del Piero the player for Juventus, then.

Very few can compare to that 22 year old Del piero but Rossi is undoubtedly one of the most talented players of this generation.
Do we need Gius Rossi? What we need is a left defender and not attackers. But it seems that now we bougt Diego and cannavaro free and that's it. Now our trio is focusing on selling as they did today with Mellberg. I dont think we will buy someone else and without a left defender our defence is very weak.

No we don't need Rossi now but in a year or two we will need a player like him so it'll be a mistake not to get him now.

I agree we desperately need at least one very good fullback. But when you look at our attack; Del piero (34), Amauri (29), IQ(29), Trez(32), we are clearly ageing in that department. Players like Ale and Trez will not be able to play 90 minute games let alone play twice a week. We need young blood to boost our attack, and Rossi seems like the most suitable candidate at the moment.

Guido Rossi can't compare to Del Pie. That's like say Crosby is better than Lemueix.
Guido Rossi is that motherfuckin merda supporting ex-senator who, if I remember correctly, was responsible for assembling the jury that Fucked us in the ass! He was head of the FIGC, during the first few months of Calciopoli!

If you're so concerned with age then you must think buying Amauri was pretty stupid. I mean he's already 29, in a year or two you'll be trying to get rid of him.

Yes, I agree but cant Giovinco play instead of Del Piero? I see Giovinco as a left wing. So at lwast for Del Piero we have a replacement if they are not going to sell him or loan him. For the time being we must buy 2 very good defenders.

Surely if Trez is as lazy and immobile as some people seem to think, he will have no problem playing two games a week.

To be honest, I didn't like the idea of signing Amauri at first because of the age factor. Also, at the time we didn't really need attackers, Trez, IQ, and Alex were doing extremely well if I remember correctly. We were in dire need of defenders and most of us hated the board for being foolish and completently ignorant of our real problems. However, I had always known he was a very skillful player who could give us a lot in the next two or three years so I couldn't really have too many complaints.

Now, we're faced with a simmilar situation, this time I say we opt for a young talent(Rossi) who along with players like Chiellini, Giovinco, Marchisio, and Sissoko, we can really build a great team around for years to come.

No, Giovinco isn't a support striker.

That's a nice way to look at it, but I was talking about players who can play two games a week and actually contribute something very beneficial to the team in both games, at least most of the time.

Sorry, but Trez doesn't seem like that player right now.

My vehement and unchanging opposition to selling Trez aside, I think Rossi is definitely a much better option than many others we might be trying to buy at this stage. If you insist on buying Italian I'm not seeing that many tempting options in Serie A right now. Not into Cassano either.

I agree.

Even if wanted a non-Italian young talent, do we really have many alternatives? I mean, I can't really think of any non-Italian talented young strikers that would be willing to join Juve at this point. Huntelaar may have been an option but it seems very unlikely that he'll move to Italy.
