Dortmund did beat us in a CL final, only... 17 years ago. Meaning, they have won the CL more recently than us, and they also played in a CL final more recently than us... :shifty:

You act like Dortmund is Sassuolo.
Dortmund is Sassuolo in disguise. Geez, man. I figured you would understand this much.

They'll probably win it before we do, too.

Chances are they won't even qualify for any Euro competition for the next season. If you knew anything abut BuLiga history you'd realize that apart from Bayern other teams come and go, depending on the circumstances. Shalke, Monchengladbach, HSV, Dortmund, Leverkusen, K'lautern, etc... they have few good seasons and then return to mediocrity for decades, as mgt aren't willing to invest when the time is right, therefore they cannot gain international appeal, since they keep losing their best players every summer only to replace them with utter scrubs like Immobile, etc...

Tell me when Dortmund returned to mediocrity for decades. They had a rough period in the mid 2000s but then came back stronger than ever. One bad year won't break them, they're built for long term sustainability. A stadium that holds 80k+, huge fanbase, and great youth system among other things. Even if they don't go to CL next year, they'll be fine.

They will always be Bayern's bitches, like the rest of bundesliga teams.

Losing your main players year after to Bayern :howler:

They were champions of Germany astonishing 8 times. Between '63 and '94 they haven't won a single league. After the CL triumph they went missing for most of the last 15 years, at some point they were relegation candidate. They won't be fine if they miss CL since their best players like Reus would want a change in scenary, as he's approaching serious footballing years and probably would like to compete for important trophies and that Dortmund cannot guarantee. You're acting like they are on our level. Good German side, but lacks consistency at top level.

There's no such thing as love to a club anymore. Get the fucking over it. Players play for money and/or when it's convenient to stay (Mostly family matters).

If Reus want to leave, he will leave. The same goes for Hummels and Klopp. A contract means shit nowadays when any rich club can pay whatever needs to be paid.

It's all about money. Have they the money to build another good team with the best around? Then yes, they'll kick back.

But as we've seen with Gotze and Lewandowski, every time one of their big players leave they really feel it. Yes, they can produce their own players but even that takes time. You don't hit the jackpot every year.

Imagine us losing Pogba to Milan for 35mln and then Vidal next season for free.

84k stadium? They should extend to 110k and fit all their world wide fans in it.

Not only losing our best players two years in a row, but being tied for last place in the league with 7 points after 10 rounds... Could you imagine the meltdown!
Oh boy..

But seriously sporting wise they have been doing much better than us in Europe, even now with their shit form I'd favour them vs us in a game.

But as a brand, and other financial aspects I don't consider them stable enough for a top club.

I can't believe Germany hasn't produced a second super club yet, man. It's really shocking tbh. Everysingle country has at least 2 arch-rivals ffs.

Well, that's probably because ever country but Germany allows foreign investors buying a club and using it as his toy.
There'll be loads of money invested and at some point there'll be some rivalries.

In Germany, there's the 50+1 rule which doesn't allow that(even though it's been tweaked for teams like Wolfsburg, Leverkusen or Hoffenheim, as well as Hannover and Hamburg) and a club like Bayern Munich, who'll buy everyone as soon as they reach a certain level of play.

Though, just wait a couple more years, cause as soon as Red Bull Leipzig(currently 3rd place in the 2nd Bundesliga) makes it to the Bundesliga, they'll go for it as the Red Bull owner already stated, that he wants to challenge Bayern.
