French police immediately tear-gassed their freedom convoy copycats.

If only our police had some balls and teargassed and pepper-sprayed these adult babies here. They’d run away crying like they always do. Teargas and pepper spray seem to be reserved for teenagers and First Nations protesting logging and environmental stuff here lol
Doesn't Canada have a law that prevents people from blocking public roads?
In my country you risk jail time if you do this.
Also the authorities would disperse such protest in no time.

Police can't do much because the truckers are coming with trucks. And they can't just push back thousands of trucks.
I really like those guys. It's nice to finally see some sane people grouping together and demanding simple to achieve stuff that will be beneficial to all.

Thanks to all the truckers. And fuck you MSM for making them look like some racist bigots.
Yeah. You know zilch about these idiots. They are a bunch of jackasses who have little support here. Vaccine Mandates are the tip of the iceberg of what they are “protesting” against like a mob trying to force the government to resign. A small minority with very little support throwing a tantrum to get their way after they lost an election just a few months ago that showed Canadians overwhelmingly support the parties that support strong Covid measures. So yes, fuck these idiots.

Pretty lax laws about such things, although when adolescents are protesting shit at G8/G20 summits here police manage to find reasons to arrest, beat up, etc.

Hopefully the state of emergency and injunctions from judges get the police here to stop twiddling their thumbs and start putting these idiots in jail.

@Post Ironic, so what the truckers won?
Mask mandates still in effect. Federal government mandates still in effect. Businesses can choose to require proof of vaccine if they want to or not, but provincial government will no longer force them to. Literally what I’ve been advocating the entire time. Let businesses decide. Shouldn’t be forcing people who aren’t at risk to get a vaccine if they don’t want it. Things like masks are fine because at worst they are a minor inconvenience and no different then regulations like seatbelt laws.

Masks are not a minor inconvinience IMO. It's been 2 fuckin years!

I can't see how they compare to seatbelt laws tbh.
Masks? They are a public health and safety measure. Which is no different than seatbelt laws, drunk driving laws, public intoxication laws, or a host of other public health and safety measures.

And they are the very definition of a minor inconvenience lol. Especially for desk jockeys or anyone who isn’t doing hard physical work in them.

While I support getting rid of government imposed vaccine mandates and passports, people bitching about wearing masks are giant babies lol. Zero sympathy for them. Especially considering they won’t be required soon enough either. If some governments want to keep them in place for a few more months, who cares.

Masks are annoying. Stating that is bitching?

Should be up to me whether or not I wear one at this point of the pandemic.

The seatbelt is potentially saving my life, the mask is just protecting me from a virus I don't care for anymore in it's current shape and form. Whoever disagrees is free to continue wearing them, so why make it mandatory.

Seatbelts are not a minor inconvenience either I guess. They’ve been around for quite a lot longer. Time to go rally up the freedumb folk to get rid of those seatbelt laws. The tyranny! Lol
You dont drive all day ffs.
Also, you dont have to endure the inconvinience of buying the damn belts every day.

Alas, it isn’t up to you, poor fella. :boh:

40,000 people die in car accidents a year in the US. Close to 500,000/year from Covid so far. I’d say the masks were rather important. As I said, they’ll be gone in a couple months given the nature of omicron, so… why you guys whining about having to wear them for a brief while longer?

Why isn't it a personal choice at this point? You want to keep wearing them, fine, I don't.
It isn’t because hospitalizations and deaths are still high in many places. Do I think we should just move on and treat Covid as endemic? Yep. Do I care if that happens today or in three months? Not in the slightest.

And no, I won’t be wearing a mask as soon as they aren’t required. I just don’t care about whether that happens immediately or not.
