If not for those pointed guns the Baltic states, Finland, Poland and God knows who else would have the same problems as Ukraine, Georgia, and Belarus - actual victims of invasion/occupation.

If Russia doesn't like that some of its neighbors are off limits for them, it's their mental problem.

I agree with that. I'm all pro economic sanctions against Russia. But the Western media is jizzing itself from the idea of war. War should be averted at all costs. Nobody is going to save Ukraine from Russia. Nobody is going to risk a nuclear war for Ukraine.

I have a Syrian friend who 10 years ago wanted the US to meddle in the Syrian civil war. He feels like a complete fool today.

Where did I say that Russia is not an authoritarian state that bullies other nations? I only pointed out that US is also a bully and also has blood on their hands.

The best solution is economic sanctions but obviously the countries in EU care more about cheaper fossil fuels than opposing authoritarian bullies.
