Again, we are not starry eyed about the US, but they are by far the lesser evil.
It's not that far as you think.

No, the US has nuclear weapons and probably France and not one of them on other NATO countries territories.
Get your facts straight. There is no mortal danger regarding Russia from NATO.
Most of the nuclear weapons are intercontinental missiles so what's your point. If it comes to nuclear war everybody loses that's the major reason why there is "peace" today.

So, why do you keep making excuses for Russia, for trying to invade Ukraine?

Is North Macedonia led by a dictator?
If it this then I get it.

I'm just doing the same thing you are doing for the US. But i get it you think just because people come from Russia they are automatically bad. And no we have "democracy" here.

It's totally different bro.
You are taking the side of the AGRESSOR while I am taking the side for those that want to defend the VICTIM.
@Kopanja already told you how thing stand in his country, yet Russian propaganda has destroyed you perception which is deeply flawed.
I'm done with this discussion.

I was hoping you are not from the Europe, or at least from Serbia, it would at least help me to understand where are you coming from.

You know, we are probably fucked here in Ukraine anyway. If not this time, but maybe next time Russia is going to invade with full force. It won’t be pretty. But when it happens I really hope that they won’t stop here, and I really hope USA would withdraw from continent according to European idiots wishes. Because, looks like many Europeans forgot what it’s like not to have a fucking golden ticket in USA, an insurance from soviets, russians or whatever you want to call them. Forgot 1956 in Hungary, or 1968 in Prague etc. And I’ll be laughing from my grave when they are going to steamroll you, chew you up, while your government is making futile calls for help in UN and West European powerhouses are making cost-benefits analysis about whether to really help you or just wait until an empire swallows you whole and the problem goes away along with your country.

To me the best solution right now is that the Ukrainian government appeases them and then starts advocating for Europe to cut all ties with Russia. Perhaps it's a good idea not to be a NATO member but to accelerate a EU membership. I personally don't mind having economic difficulties due to high prices of oil and natural gas (if Europe decides to put a trade embargo on Russia, a decision which I support) but knowing that the payout is peace.

US selling weapons to Ukraine as if they stand a chance vs Russia is a complete madness. And the American government and media to celebrate it like they are watching Wrestlemania is sickening.

I'm sorry that my opinion offends you in this difficult time, but I'm hoping every day that there won't be war in your country.

your opinion doesn’t offend me at all, no worries. There is a lot of I don’t understand in your post though. But I’ll focus on one thing - appeasement.
Where do you draw a line? What concessions should we make? Where is the guarantee that this appeasement is a final one? What happens when Russia comes next year, should we appease them again?

The majority of EU is already on your side. All your leaders have to do is to have an agreement to protect your sovereignty with the major European powers and/or EU.

If your next question is "What is stopping Russia to invade Europe?" - If they don't want WW3, they won't invade Europe. I don't see a realistic possibility of Russia getting involved in a war against Europe. All you have to do is built strong alliances.

I am sorry, but we had similar agreements, called Budapest Memorandum. And do you really hope that any major EU country is going to sign a binding defensive pact with Ukraine? Come on, man.

I don't know. I'm only certain that the majority of Europe supports your independence. How your government will utilize this support is an unknown.

My government is a bunch of cretins, but that's not the point. Do I need to remind you what Putin asked the USA to do? They want NATO to shrink back to the 1997 (I think) size. Do you understand that any bilateral binding defensive pact between Ukraine and NATO-state country is almost the same as Ukraine in NATO?
Like, I am all for that, and even our moron president is. The problem is that it's a fantasy, there is no reason even to discuss it.

- - - Updated - - -

This is all just to further scare people about an attack that will obviously never happen.
Why are you so sure?

I'm actually not so sure, I was being sarcastic. Depending on which "reports" you read, we could see anything from nothing happening to Russia reinstalling the old Soviet Union, so who the hell knows.

Putin can't stop you from joining EU. And once you are in - a conflict between Russia and Ukraine will be too much for Putin or the next authoritarian leader.

See Taiwan for example. Taiwan is unofficially recognized (having unofficial diplomatic relations) with the big powers - USA, Germany, France, UK, Japan and this is enough to stop China from doing anything stupid.

Again, it's too much to unwrap. Let's focus on this one. How much time does it take for a country to join the EU? What should we do in the meantime? Appease? There is not enough Ukraine left to appease for that long.

Then there’s this:

Is this genocide real or fake
Come on, man. You are talking about the country that bombs its own citizens as a pretext for Chechen wars. Upd: just in case, I am not exaggerating or anything it's well-known fact. More on wiki or anywhere in the internet.

Everything seems scripted. This would be their pretext.
